Hello Amy. Out of interest, why didn't I get a voucher?

I went to on my third Just you holiday to Iran in October 2017.

That said, I can't use it anyway, as my next booked holiday is Cambodia in November 2018

That also means I don't get the guaranteed Loyalty Benefit either, doesn't it.

Sigh.......................

Hi Angie S, thank you for your feedback.  We launched the new guarantees to offer peace of mind to all of our customers in terms of booking early and being rewarded for their loyalty to Just You, we are confident that our customers will benefit from them. At this stage to redeem the loyalty benefit travellers need to call through to our contact centre and they will apply the discount. In terms of the Price Match guarantee our terms and conditions in the brochure and online are very clear, if you find the identical tour for a lower price with another tour operator we will refund the difference and give £100 discount per person to a future booking.

Although I’m waiting for a reply to a message I posted earlier this week I am concerned the reply posted above contradicts previous advice posted on this forum. We were previously told the online system would know we were returning customers and apply a discount. This didn’t happen for me when I booked my holiday only last week. When I called JY this week I was advised I would be able to apply the discount to my booking, but again this doesn’t not match the information given about. I feel as if we are now going round in circles, with differing advice given to each new query.

Thank you for your reply. I had not comprehended that there were two separate rewards being discussed. However I have not received a discount voucher so when you say this was sent out to all customers who booked in 2017 do you meant for holidays in 2018? 

With regards to the loyalty reward does it not take into account holidays taken in 2017 then as I booked my next holiday after the launch of the new brochure so am still at a loss as to why I didn’t qualify?

As I understand it from the post above, people are receiving a thank you voucher if they have booked with you within the last 12 months which is separate from the Guaranteed Loyalty Benefit.

So, I went to Peru with Just You in June 2017 but have not seen any voucher. Come to think of it, I have never received a Just You brochure despite travelling with you in 2010, 2016 & 2017 is there a separate mailing list that I am not on ?

I went on 2 Just You holidays in 2017 & HAVEN'T received a discount voucher nor have I received a reply to my last query on the this Forum. What should have incentivised people to book with Just You is now turning into a PR disaster.

Please can you respond to my question earlier in this thread.

I have checked our system and it appears that you have been opted out of our mailing system.

However, if you make another booking with us then you should receive the voucher for your next holiday.

No mention of having to be on the mailing list in this previous reply and why should only customers on the mailing list benefit if this discount voucher is for having travelled with Just You in the last 12 months ?

I would not be happy with not being treated equally with those on the mailing list.

I have not received a discount voucher for my 2017 holiday.   This whole discount scheme seems very confusing.

Why exactly have I not received one?  I have not opted out of receiving anything.  

This is very annoying so in view of this I don't think I will have use for a voucher !

I have been a customer at Just You and Travelsphere since 2005 and my holidays are now in double figures.  My last holiday was September 2017. I have not received a discount voucher that you mention in your previous reply to Taffy?

To make use of the Guaranteed Loyalty Benefit you need to book your next Just You holiday within six months of returning from a Just You holiday and the next holiday needs to depart within 12 months of the return date of the previous Just You holiday. 

Poor Taffy is not looking for a voucher he is looking for a discount on the holiday he has just booked, meeting your loyalty benefit criteria.

Can you please explain to him, to me,  to us all, why he has not received this. 

I really think you need to think about how you are explaining the voucher and the loyalty benefit as clearly the message is not getting across.

I feel for the loyal JY customers who are not being rewarded, disadvantaged for booking well in advance. As I said before, it would appear the iniative requires some serious bedding in.

I expect this post will appear maybe by the end of next week as my last post took 5 working days to appear... not sure why as it didn't say anything much.

As we are receiving a number of posts regarding confusion around the loyalty scheme, I hope that my explanation below helps to answer your questions.

- Just You launched its brand new Guaranteed Loyalty Benefit along with the January 2018 brochure. When you return from your next Just You holiday you will receive a discount with your welcome home letter and holiday questionnaire which can be used on a Just You holiday booked within six months of returning from a Just You holiday.

- If you booked your Just You holiday through a Travel Agent, you will not receive a welcome home letter as we do not have your contact details, however you will still qualify for a discount on your next holiday, to avail of this please ask your Travel Agent to call our sales advisors when making the booking.

In addition to the welcome home loyalty benefit, the team from Just You decided to reward those who had booked a holiday in 2017 with something special - this is a separate reward from the above scheme.

- If you have booked a Just You Holiday in 2017 and you are on our mailing list you will receive a voucher from Just You, which is a way of saying thank you for your loyalty. The voucher will give you a discount on a Just You holiday as long as it is booked in 2018 and departs before the end of July 2018.

- If you have booked a Just You Holiday in 2017, but we are unable to post you the voucher, you still qualify and the discount will be applied to a booking as long as it is booked in 2018 and departs before the end of July 2018.

If you have any further issues or feel that you should have received a thank you voucher, please email us direct at Community@JustYou.co.uk and we can get everything sorted out.

Thanks Julia for explaining it so succinctly.

I have to say (and I promise this is my last word on the subject) though that the majority of loyal JY customers book their holidays well in advance and a caveat of booking in 2018 with a departure date of July seems to me would relate to small number of customers.  Nice idea but the devil is in the detail and this seems to benefit very few.

Will a voucher be issued for that scheme (in the same way as the ‘thank you’ reward), or will JY’s booking system automatically recognise that a customer qualifies for a discount when they contact JY to book their next holiday?

And while you have stated that, under the Guaranteed Loyalty Benefit, you need book within six months of returning from a JY holiday, can I also confirm that you need to depart within 12 months of the return date of your previous JY holiday?

this up to £100 discount voucher is of no use to me then as I cannot use it before the end of July, for one I cannot afford three or four JY holidays a year, two I do have a job to consider and three I have booked your Burma tour in November, last year I did 2 JY tours, Costa Rica in March and Chile in November but get no guaranteed loyalty bonus for that so when I return home from Burma in November this year am I likely to get a new discount voucher of which I can use on either of two tours I have my eye on, Chile, Argentina & Brazil and the winter Rockies both early 2019

also I never seem to get a complimentary ticket to your show at Olympia as its something I'd like to attend if I had enough notice being over 200 miles away

A poorly worded brochure as far as I can see - I've read the wording 3 times just this evening alone!

I'm sure it will all sort itself out and loyal customers in future years will get something.

I have just returned from my Amazing Australia holiday and in the Welcome Home pack is a holiday voucher, which says that it applies per booking on all tours and all dates, is valid for 6 months and discount can be used in conjunction with any other offer. I am presuming this means that I can use this voucher against my Galapagos Island booking? Just noticed that there is no date on the voucher neither is there a code to quote when you book. I will try calling Just You and see what happens.

For the Guaranteed Loyalty Benefit there will be a voucher included at the bottom of the Welcome Home letter, the sales advisors will also be aware of any applicable discount. Yes, you will need to depart within 12 months of your return to be able to use the loyalty benefit.

Hi All

I'm putting this "thank you loyalty benefit" to the test as have booked a holiday departing in April using it. The holiday adviser will register that you have the voucher but you need to send it in to redeem it against the holiday. When I questioned this, I was told it was to prevent fraud. Don't know why the voucher has a number if it is not recognised as legitimate! The adviser didn't take a note of the number either.

Many thanks for explaining the two different schemes.  Perhaps this should have been done sooner to avoid all the angst from fellow travellers and I.  I think I understand it now and am attempting to use my thank you voucher with a holiday booked in April.
