Dear Amy,

I received a loyalty voucher from JY yesterday which has to be used before the end of July 2018. I won't be travelling with JY before then but I'm a bit confused. My last JY holiday was last month ( December ) and according to the brochure on loyalty benefits page 243, it says:-' ....The new booking must be made within 6 months of your return date and must depart within 12 months of the return date of your original holiday.' I took this to mean that provided I booked before June 2018, I could have a discount voucher valid until December 2018 ( ie. 12 months since my last holiday with JY ). Can you explain why 12 months is mentioned in the brochure please if vouchers are only going to be valid for 6 months?

I'm totally confused now! My £100 voucher arrived on Friday and it states that it has to be used within 6 months. My interpretation of this is that I need to use it within 6 months to make a booking, not that the departure date has to be within that time!

I was going to use it for the September departure to Dubai and make the booking in April. Please advise whether I can do this if not.

The Guaranteed Loyalty Benefit was launched with the Just You January 2018 brochure. All customers returning from their Just You holiday will receive the loyalty benefit in their welcome home letter. Any customer who has booked a holiday with Just You in the last 12 months will receive a discount voucher which can be used on all new bookings departing before July 2018.

Hi Mod,

Just joined the message board, having travelled several times with JY. I done a tour in June last year, can you confirm if i will be entitled the loyalty discount if i book another holiday for June this year - if you can see my email address some of my previous bookings were made under that, including the most recent one.

The voucher that you received from Just You was sent out as a personal thank you to everyone who had booked with us in the last 12 months. The voucher is separate from the Guaranteed Loyalty Benefit that was launched with the lastest Just You brochure in early January.

To make use of the Guaranteed Loyalty Benefit you need to book your next Just You holiday within six months of returning from a Just You holiday and the next holiday needs to depart within 12 months of the return date of the previous Just You holiday.

I’m very disappointed with the time limits imposed on using the loyalty voucher. Booking within six months of receipt is fine, but having the same limits imposed for departure seems unduly harsh for the JY regulars who have already organised, and booked, their 2018 holiday programmes.

Many thanks Amy, I didn't realise they were two separate things.So when I book my next holiday, do I get a discount from the holiday price that I book as part of the loyalty scheme or is the discount sent in the form of another voucher valid for 6 months please?

My question is not will I be sent a voucher if I book another holiday.

I am asking if I will receive a voucher for the holiday that I took with Just You in September which seems to be what is indicated in the following reply from you in this thread:

If that answer is correct please can you arrange for me to receive my discount voucher or provide an explanation has to why I do not qualify.

Hi Amy, 

Sorry, but I'm still confused. You told me in a previous post that the Guaranteed Loyalty Scheme is separate to the discount voucher valid for use within 6 months. I received this voucher thankyou. However, I won't be using it as I hope to travel with you after that date. I haven't received anything in the post regarding a Guaranteed Loyalty Scheme which can be used up to 12 months from my previous holiday, as I understand. So can you please tell me what 'form' a Guaranteed Loyalty Scheme discount comes in to allow me to qualify for the discount on my next holiday valid until December 2018 ( a year after my recent holiday with you ).

Hi Angie S, thank you for your feedback.  We launched the new guarantees to offer peace of mind to all of our customers in terms of booking early and being rewarded for their loyalty to Just You, we are confident that our customers will benefit from them. At this stage to redeem the loyalty benefit travellers need to call through to our contact centre and they will apply the discount. In terms of the Price Match guarantee our terms and conditions in the brochure and online are very clear, if you find the identical tour for a lower price with another tour operator we will refund the difference and give £100 discount per person to a future booking.

Although I’m waiting for a reply to a message I posted earlier this week I am concerned the reply posted above contradicts previous advice posted on this forum. We were previously told the online system would know we were returning customers and apply a discount. This didn’t happen for me when I booked my holiday only last week. When I called JY this week I was advised I would be able to apply the discount to my booking, but again this doesn’t not match the information given about. I feel as if we are now going round in circles, with differing advice given to each new query.

A discount voucher was sent to all Just You customers who booked a holiday in 2017. The Guaranteed Loyalty Benefit, which is separate from the voucher, began on the launch day of the January brochure, it is a discount that you will be sent when you arrive back from your May 2018 holiday. You can use this discount for your next holiday as long as it is booked within six months of your return date and you depart within 12 months of the return date.

 

The guidelines for the Guaranteed Loyalty Benefit are published in the new brochure and also on our website. To answer your question, it does not matter which holiday you return from, you will receive a discount that can be used on any Just You holiday in the future.

Nice try, but for a genuinely loyal customer (around 14 trips so far and singing your praises to all my friends, many of whom have gone on to book for themselves) I am left genuinely unrewarded.

We have been listening to everyone on the Community that has been asking for loyalty to be recognised and that is why we launched the Guaranteed Loyalty Benefit. I went on 2 Just You holidays in 2017 & HAVEN'T received a discount voucher nor have I received a reply to my last query on the this Forum. What should have incentivised people to book with Just You is now turning into a PR disaster.

Please can you respond to my question earlier in this thread.
