Hi I am thinking of booking a holiday to Malta on Wed 12th October 2011.

I live in Poynton,Cheshire, single male aged 59 years old.

I went on a previous Just You holiday 3 years ago to Italy, which I enjoyed very much. I enjoy culture, museams etc and also enjoy to soak up the sun. Love to be in social company, therefore can anyone ressure me I am making the right decision in picking this holiday or could someone suggest any where else to satisfy my tastes.

Thanks

Hi sandypippin,

How much time have you got?

Why are you just thinking about it? If Malta is what you think you would like, get it booked! I have been to Malta - they say you love it or you hate it - I loved it! Lots to see and do. You don't need advice, you need to make up your mind.

If you fancy somewhere else, there is a lot of choices for you - you already know you will enjoy yourself so why are you hesistating?

Be happy,

Best wishes,

Lesley

Hi sandy,

Loveleylesley certainly hasn't sat on the fence with her reply! but in all fairness she is correct.

I've been to Malta a couple of times (not with JY though) and I thoroughly enjoyed it both times. If you like Italy you can also take an excursion to Sicily for the day. It's about an hours crossing on the ferry and then you get taken by coach to different towns and up Mount Etna. I'm not sure if JY do that as one of their excursions but I'm sure the tour manager will be able to point you in the right direction.

If culture is your thing then Valletta should satisfy as it's a beautiful city and a World Heritage Site.

Get booking sandy and have fun!

Julian

Hi, I lived and worked in Malta and you will love it if you like history and lovely buildings. Your hotel is up in the north of the island and is along the coast from Valletta but close to St Pauls, lots of nightlife and on a bus route. There are some beaches but not many but the excursions look great. The harbour cruise is fab, so is Gozo and you must get on the local buses, now that is an experience. Their 'air conditioning' translates as no windows!! It is cheap and goes all over the island which is only about 16 miles by 8 miles. Lots of history in Valletta and beautiful views. Walk around the outside of the city along the walls to get a view from every angle and see interesting things. Also visit the Mosta dome to see where the bomb fell through the church roof when it was packed with locals sheltering from the bombing. It DID NOT explode. There is a replica in situ. Visit the Malta Experience video show too. If you like to walk, get the bus to Sliema and walk along the coast to Msida and then into Valletta. Its all great. Enjoy you won't regret it. 🙂

Hi Sandypippin

I have booked the trip to Malta on June 8th.I have no qualms on visiting Malta again as i have been twice before and it is my favourite holiday place.I first went in 1978 and again in 2001,the Maltese people are very friendly and love the British and it easy to get around on the local buses.

kind regards

Hi

I have been to Malta (not with Just You). Found it a lovely island - Valletta is fantastic place to visit and soak up history and culture. And it is so easy to get around on the buses, I did one of the bus tours around just part of the island to get as much from having just a week on the island and to research places that I would like to go back to.

As a newbie to just you I have chosen Mallorca, but I kept coming back to this particular holiday and followed my gut instinct and booked it (after a few weeks of should i or shouldnt i?)

Anyway whatever you chose, enjoy.

Regards

Amelia
