Hi everyone,

I just thought I'd give you a bit of a laugh - as many of you know I am a very loyal JY customer and regular poster on the forum.  But after a dream I had last night, I'm wondering do I spend too much time thinking about holidays?!  I had a very specific and extended dream that I was on the Heart of Alpine Europe tour!!  I have read the itinerary for it numerous times over the years but haven't really considered it too seriously...perhaps this is a sign I should do it??

The dream was very vivid, as a group we were getting on and off the coach, seeing stunning scenery and I was taking photos, talking to the group, enjoying dinner etc.  I was very confused when I woke up in my own bed!!

Try not to be too sarcastic or witty in your replies...

Cheers,

Bob

Bob

you are definitely still Jet Lagged, you need to have a good lie down for about 3 days and keep off the forum, ho ho, you are definitely thinking too much about your next holiday and in fact the one after that and after that

are you sure you're not after Julia or Mildred's job or even set to become the next JY ambassador

all the best

Dave

Hi Bob

Yes I agree with Dave you are certainly suffering jet lag! And also agree with Rose in that the holiday might not live up to your dream.

Yes Bob, you definitely need therapy!! but not necessarily due to your vivid dreams!! :)

Your post did make me laugh out loud for real.  I would say this is a sign of too many holidays (I am happy to go on the Chile tour for you) or too much red wine and cheese!!  That said, I did go and check out the Heart of Alpine Europe tour... its not one I've looked at before - but if you are having wonderful dreams about it its obviously worth a look.

Hi all,

Many thanks for your supportive replies :s

Sylvia and Rose - I've looked again at this tour on the website to see if it mirrored my dream and I really don't think it would disappoint, such amazing scenery (sounds like I'm almost convincing myself, doesn't it) but not to worry I have all my hols booked for this year in any case...

Wonder where I'll dream about tonight? And yes Kerry, probably a good idea to lay off the cheese just before bedtime or I might dream of being chased by a giant bottle of Febreeze....

Cheers,

Bob

Hello Bob,

Your dream mirrors this trip to a T. Wonderful scenery, 4 countries and so many different forms of transport, who knew about the Post Bus after a rachet train from a boat at Rorschach to Heiden where there there is a monument to Henry Dunant who founded the Red Cross. I found that you learn so much on these trips 😉

Appenzell where they have signs outside shops to indicate what they sell and the apple struedel was divine.

Lindau and Bregenz- amazing.

St Moritz- wow, how the other half live.

Book it now Bob 🙂

I have nearly booked this trip a couple of times Bob.  :)

So no, you don't need therapy.  Think of all the fresh mountain air.

Thanks Jan, it'll have to wait a year or two as I've used up all my holiday allocation for this year but it is definitely on my list!

Much appreciated,

Bob

PS No more vivid holiday dreams since, what a pity.  I'll have to start eating the cheese before bedtime again...
