I am going on the South Africa trip in 3 weeks and wondered what the weights are for the airlines - especially the internal flights.

Hi Lesley,

Not long until you jet off...bet you are getting excited now!

You will be flying with South African Airways. They have a weight restriction of 20kg per passenger. This means you can take a case of 20kg and one piece of hand luggage with you.

I hope this helps. If you need any further information before you go, please let me know.

Warm wishes,

I can't wait, counting the days!

Thanks for the reply it helps, planning clothes for 3 weeks away is difficult!

Do you know if the internal flights (Port Elizabeth to Durban and Johanessburg to Victoria Falls) is also the same 20kgs?

Thanks

Hi again Lesley,

Yes this should be the same continuously throughout your holiday as the airline will be South African Airways therefor the maximum weight will stay at 20kgs plus your hand luggage.

I hope this is ok, if you are struggling to only pack 20kgs ( I know I would with all my shoes), let me know and I will try and find out info on how much extra baggage would be.

Kind regards,
