Hi June,

I have booked on the trip in Oct I have only been on one holiday with Just You and that was New Zealand in Jan of this year. It was my first holiday on my own and the group, tour manager and basically the whole holiday exceeded my expectations, had a great time so really looking forward to Japan in Oct. Have booked Premier Inn terminal 4 the night before as it it so convenient and didn't want to take the risk of being stuck on the M25. Anyway look forward to meeting you in Oct.

Hi,

I'm booked onto this trip. I've wanted to go Japan for years, so I'm counting down the days.

Regards,

James

I'm thinking of booking for Japan 11 October and was wondering if anybody knows if the red Autumn leaves will be out then? I hear it's a spectacular sight to rival the cherry blossom in March-April!

Kindest regards,

Carla

Hello Carla

I toured round Japan (not with JY) a couple of years ago, 15-29 October, and the autumn colours were already out then - a stunning sight!

The weather was good, too (although this is not guaranteed): no rain and often clear skies, with a beautiful sunset in Hiroshima and lovely views of Mount Fuji from Hakone and Tokyo Bay - even our Japanese guide was taking photos!

If the weather is the same you will have a wonderful time.

Jim

Hi

Karylin was my Tour Manager in Namibia last year.

I can assure you that you will be very well looked after by Karylin from the moment you meet her. We had a couple of problems at Windhoek Airport on our return--airport problems, not JY. These problems resulted in all our luggage being delayed and arriving at LHR on a later flight than us. Karylin was brilliant sorting the oproblems out.

Kind regards

Di

I am going to Japan (I hope!) on 11th October but am having real problems accessing my Just You account to pay the holiday balance and also logging in to this Forum to contact other travellers.  Have been sent four or five different passwords to attempt this - hit and miss, I'm logged in eventually now but unable to change my temporary password to what I know it has always been as not being recognised but that temporary password is not being accepted when I try to change password. No-one is responding to my emails, just automated messages.

What I want to say is apologies to those who responded to my initial post of 17th May, I am worried about the trip due to the horrendous flooding all over Japan these last few days and concerned that all the beautiful gardens and other places will be totally devastated.   My holiday insurance doesn't cover "Acts of God" which floods is and I don't want to spend all this money and not be able to see the highlights of the trip.

Hi James, fingers crossed our trip to Japan goes ahead, worried about the devastation from recent floods.

Hi June,

We're monitoring the current situation with our agents in Japan and we will inform customers if we need to change any aspects of the trip. At the moment it's too early for us to know if this will need to happen, but we will let you know as far in advance as possible.

Regarding the trouble with your login details, I've emailed you directly and apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

Thanks,

Vickie

Hi all,

We have checked with our suppliers and our itinerary for this trip does not visit the areas affected.

Thanks,

Vickie

That is good to know.  I have been waiting for someone to get back to me as promised with this info as I still cannot access my account to pay the balance of my trip which was due two days ago.  No-one answers my emails, just automatic "respond in 3 days" reply.

Do we have any updates from agents on the ground about the conditions in Japan following the floods in July, Typhoon in August and the recent earthquake? Getting concerned there won't be much left to see, half expecting Mount Fuji to erupt and put the tin lid on the whole trip?

Hi June,

Our Japan tours do not visit any of the affected areas, apart from the airport so at the moment they will be going ahead.

Kansai International Airport re-opened for domestic flights last week after the flooding and they are expecting International flights to resume not long after so everything should be fine for next departures.

We are getting continuous updates from our local agents, so if anything changes we will let customers know immediately.

Many thanks,

Vickie

It is less than two weeks now till I am due to fly to Japan yet I have had no travel documents so am unable to book taxi to Heathrow or get currency as uncertain if my trip will definitely go ahead. Very stressful in addition to being a first time traveller on my own, expected at least some communication from Just You.
