All this nearly gave me heart failure, I'm taking it Roger reason you got email from Emirates being you upgraded flight with them, am still surprised JY didn't know about this, still it's only a small change and getting from T2 to T3 or whichever way it is in Dubai is not a problem giving we have bags of time

a happier dave ?

Hi Dave,

That is correct, the team does need your passport scan to obtain the permits, this will either be asked for at the time of final payment or you will be called in plenty of time before departure.

Kind regards

Matt

Hi

Just checking I haven't missed the request for passport info....?

52 days and counting (getting very excited now) - it wasn't asked for at final payment, so just want to keep an eye out....

Thanks

Hi Dave,

being a tall chappy I was hoping to ‘claim’ a seat with extra leg room, but was thwarted as Emirates didn’t seem to have the booking details at that time (?).

Flights seem to be 7 hours and 5.5 hours, so no thoughts of upgrading. It’s those extra long ones that might make me push the boat out :-)

I agree, it does seem strange that Emirates have contacted me, but seemingly have left JY in the dark. Strange business practice ..

I look forward to meeting up with you and ‘the gang’ in a few weeks

Cheers,

Roger

Hi PaulaH

You have not missed the passport request, this will be required 35 days from travel and the team will call you. If you want to send over your passport details earlier, you can send an email to apis@justyou.co.uk and include a scan of your passport plus your booking reference.

Kind regards

Matt

Hi RogerT

As the change of terminal in Dubai is what is known as an 'insignificant' change we would not inform you at this stage, as things can always change again. We would make you aware of any changes when we send out the final documents.

Kind regards

Matt

No probs at all Matt. Thanks for the reassurance.

I wasn’t trying to cause trouble .. honest ! ;-)

I’ve every faith and confidence in the JY team. You don’t (rightly) win all of those awards for nothing …

Happy trails,

Roger

Hi Roger

Yes looking forward to meeting you also, yes strange they contacted you but not JY but maybe as you've been in touch with the airline, I too thought with it being insignificant there was no need to alarm passengers

See you in the lounge if not earlier and with you being tall I'm sure we'd soon pick you out

a very excited dave

looking forward to meeting you all in June, for those yet to apply for your visa (I did mine today), you will need:

A picture of your passport

A selfie

A copy of your yellow fever certificate

A copy of your ticket (I used my just you invoice)

Hi Dave,

after seeing Tim’s post I applied for my visa and also used my ‘confirmation invoice’ for the ‘ticket’ part.

I uploaded the page showing my details and flights information. This was accepted without problem.

The process took several days to come through from application, but I now have my visa. I just need to get it printed off (on your phone seemingly not good enough).

I now need to create my Uganda specific checklist ! Quite a few things to cover …

25 days and counting .. tick, tock. 🙂

Hey all

Tim's post triggered me to have a look at sorting the visa to....did it through the Sherpa link...applied Friday morning had my Visa on Monday afternoon...... wasn't expecting it that quickly - impressed.

Can't believe how quickly its coming round now...getting very excited.....but also overthinking what else I need to sort....

Checklist definitely needed.

See you all in about three weeks....
