Am now looking to do a short haul trip (shame they are not longer than 8 days though) and cant decide which one of the above to do. Love Italy and have been there 5 times but not to Tuscany. Went to Croatia when it was Yugosalavia many many years ago, Can anybody give me any feedback please

I went on the Highlights of Tuscany tour a couple of years ago. This is not a hectic tour lots to see and do. The hotel staff and owners are very friendley, I had a room at the front and it was quite noisy, some people did get moved which wasnt a problem. Food buffett style. The hotel is just a short walk from a little town which was nice to stock up on drinks and nibbles for the days out, also nice to sit and watch the world go by. If you like street markets one day there was one in the little town.

Nice group of people and I think I went either March or May and it was VERY hot. If I can help with anything else just ask ..

The Istrian Coast trip based in Rabac is a nice trip. I went in May last year. Lovely hotel and food, and Rabac is a good social village (bars, ice cream places, and plenty of places to eat). I hadnt been back in 25 years and it was lovely to see it not changed much at all. Good range of trips but some are very long days!!

Thank you Cindy but had a change of mind and have now booked the Cilento Coast. Decided on it because there were flights from Stansted. However when I phoned to book the flights from Stansted were full, so now I am flying from Heathrow again! Going early June. Went to the Amalfi Coast (not JY) couple of years ago, so think this holiday will be a less touristy place to visit. Val

Hi Val,

I'm doing the Cilento Coast holiday departing on the 9th June but I fly from Gatwick.

I have also been to SA back in Setember 2011 and had a wonderful time.

If you are going on the 9th June then we can swap memories of SA.

Hi,

I have been to the Istrian coast- an amazing holiday! Plenty of things to do, good range of optional excursions. Like bosuncat, only downside is some days are quite long but still amazing. Plitvice National Park was my highlight.

My advice is to read the reviews. I have added my own and all are universally positive.

Thanks

I have been to the Amalfi Coast a fair bit Val. Cilento is far less commercialised. I love it! Sorry you decided again Istria though!
