Hi Kedi and Peter
I have just had my new paperwork regarding payment. Guess what my flight details for 9th March have now been changed. It now states 9th March depart Nagpur at 20.40 and arrive Mumbai 22.20.
Vickie, is there any chance please that you can clarify the time and why we aren't going on an earlier flight so that we can at least see a bit of Mumbai?. It's a bit pointless really being given interesting info. on Mumbai if we don't get any chance to see it at all.
Hopefully the tour will be tweaked after the return of the first group who have gone.
It is also Holi on 9th and 10th March, a big festival, so no doubt everywhere will be even busier than normal. I wonder if there will be any chance to watch celebrations. Holi is also called the Festival of Colours and one of the most iconic activities is the throwing of coloured water and powder in the streets of India's cities.
If the local agents could organize an earlier flight to Mumbai we would perhaps have more chance to get involved.
Vickie, please could you ask the Product Manager about it? When we went on the first Darjeeling to Delhi tour we travelled during the Navrati Festival. Yes, it was great to see it but getting stuck in the Festival traffic plus not having the required permits to get into Sikkim, which Barbara our TM knew nothing about, did have dire consequences-didn't reach our hotel until 01.30.
Has a TM been allocated yet and if so who is it,please? Sorry so many questions Vickie.
Peter, I hope that you enjoy your first visit to India, it will certainly be a spectacle! I am really looking forward to going again and I am sure that any hiccups will be sorted out. If you don't already know Michael Portillo is back at Destinations on the Sunday.
Look forward to seeing you, Kedi and Angell in February.
Kind Regards
Di
