Hi Monty.  I have just had a phone call from a lady at Customer Services to inform me that because of clean up operations from flooding that we will be staying at the hotel (link as below) for the  Sunday and Monday nights (1st and 2nd May) and then transferring to the Hotel Albatros in Cavtat (as originally planned) for the rest of the holiday)

I understand from the lady (didn't catch her name), that she is busy ringing around to alert everyone on the 1st May departure at the moment.  I thought I would help by posting the link to the hotel on the forum.  Hope that is okay?

I understand that this is only for the 1st May departure.

HI Bosuncat,

Unfortunately the hotel has flooded due to torrential rain over the past few days. It is only the 1st May departure and we hope that it will not effect any further departures. Thank you for including the link your post, I am sure your fellow travellers will find it very helpful.

I am really sorry for the inconvenience caused and I wish you the all the best in your travels.

Kindest regards,

Monty

I am assuming this may affect our itinerary somewhat Monty, but of course it can't be helped.  I hope everyone on the trip has got the message okay.  I also hope that the Hotel Albatros will be dry for us for Tuesday!

Incidentally this hotel looks really nice!  :)

Weirdly enough my brother and family are staying only slightly north of Dubrovnik this week, and although they have had showers they have not had torrential rain.  Poor Cavtat!

Thanks Bosuncat, that's very helpful.

I received missed calls but was unable to take them with being in meetings at work on Friday. I assumed the worst and that the holiday had been cancelled, or my flight switched as has happened before when I booked to fly from Newcastle and ended up flying via Heathrow. I rang Just You back and got no answer, even pressing the option for a call back but did not receive one for a few hours.

I know not everyone checks this forum, but I think it would be a good idea to at least post something on here, as Bosuncat has done, informing us of the change of hotel. That way I would have known far sooner about why Just You were trying to contact me instead of worrying for hours thinking my holiday may not go ahead.

Regards

Caroline
