I am going with JY to canada and Alaska in July and am very confused about the luggage allowance. On the Air Canada web site it states that passengers can take 2 bags but in the JY brochure you give a weight allowance of 23kg. Which is correct?

Hi Anne

Thank you for your question.

On average most airlines allow 20kg per suitcase. All flights to long haul destinations, including Canada and Alaska, allow 2 pieces of luggage per person each weighing 20kg - so that's 40kg in total.

I hope this has cleared it up for you, enjoy your holiday!

Take care

Hi Anne

I'm also going to Canada and Alaska but not until September. I would really love to hear how you get on and what you think about it.

Have a great trip!
