Hi Liz

If you like North America I would absolutely recommend 'Canada and the Rocky Mountaineer' - still my all time favourite JY trip and I've done a few now. Next year they are re-introducing two days on the train, which I believe will be the 'Journey through the clouds' route that we did. Truly amazing - the scenery is stunning and the hospitality on the train is fabulous (I would also recommend an upgrade to the Gold Leaf service - pricey but a once-in-a-lifetime experience)

I'm doing Ultimate Alaska in May next year - it's a new JY tour, so no reviews to go on, but it sounds like it will be right up my street. However, if you want somewhere hot that involves wildlife, I will defer to Bob Grey and SallyC for their recommendations.....

Have fun, whatever you choose!

Hi Liz, my two favourite holidays have been South Africa with the Zambia add-on and the Chile, Argentina and Brazil tour.

I could say so much about both but time is against me so I'll be brief: in South Africa, we saw stunning scenery throughout the tour, the wildlife on the game drives was incredible, the food delicious and in Zambia the helicopter flight over the Victoria Falls was breathtaking. The excursions into Botswana (Chobe National Park), gourmet dinner on a steam train and sunset cruise on the Zambezi were the icing on the cake.

On the South American tour, we had so many great experiences - best wine tasting ever in Chile, an awe inspiring journey over the Andes to reach Mendoza (and more wine tasting!), seeing the grand cities of Buenos Aires and Rio - in BA the trip to the ranch was so much fun and I loved the tango show. Rio is in the most amazing location, surrounded by mountains on one side and sandy beaches and islands on the other. The Iguazu Falls are guaranteed to take your breath away - be sure to see them from both the Brazilian and Argentinian sides!

These are just a few of the many highlights from these tours. They are expensive, but I think they offer great value for money given the breath of experiences you would have on either tour. I hope you pick one of them and have as great a time as I did!

By the way, I did the National Parks tour two years ago and it was my third favourite holiday after the two above!

Cheers,

Bob

Hi there

I have done 11 tours and all have been great from different points of you..

USA tours many, Florida, east coast liner, Boston New England and New York x 2 the second had Canada as well,Nashvile and Memphis. I love these tours as you see and do so much yes it's hectic and can take in many hotel rooms but they are great fun and you get bite size chunks of places to see and do..

Hong Kong -New Zealand, Amazing sights Hong Kong was a bit of a waste of time to me as the weather was appalling so didn't get to see great views etc. No one can control that side of thing on a tour. Was it worth the money and the travelling getting there and on the tour YES!!! It was...

Austrian lakes, beautiful scenery a nice slower paced tour

Poland and the tatra mountains, this tour was for me the day at auschwitz somewhere I always wanted to go and pay my respects to, not everyone went on this optional excursion. The tatra mountains were amazing.

Highlights of Tuscany another great European tour, amazing buildings and scenery, for me leaning tower was a tad disappointing, but that my opinion.

I would say all the tours are awesome but for different reasons be that scenery and beauty, to art and buildings, or what I am seeing, 9/11 concentrations camps, museums re civil war, to delving into loves be that Martin Luther King, Kennedys, Rosa Parks.

I would go where you heart leads you, you must have certain things you connect to so go with that.

I am sure where ever you go you will find amazing things to see and do.

Hi Liz

I've booked Canada and Rocky Mountaineer for May encouraged by the fact that you are on the train for 2 days. This will be my 12th holiday. Also booked no. 13 with TS it's deluxe Croatia on the boat called President for July I've booked that as a single traveller. Not all JY dates suit me so that's why I've used TS. I'm off to Kissimmee with TS next month as a single traveller.

Good luck LIZ
