Can I select an entire continent? - South America. Chile top to bottom, Brazil - rainforest and Iguascu (sp?) Falls, the Andes - also I'd like to include central America, I really fancy the Costa Rica and Nicaragua trip some time, I hope it isn't "rested" soon!

Hi Bosuncat

Unfortunately I do not think there would be any ancient sites left in Syria once the current situation is over. Conflict destroys the ancient sites and monuments which cannot be replaced. The same has happened in Afghanistan. Humans do not realise what they are losing when they destroy. When I did the Jordan trip, I met with an employee of the company I was working for then and he told me that I must visit Damascus as it was a lovely place, but no chance of it now.

Hi Rosie, I've done both of those tours and they were amazing - though I have to say the Chile/Argentina/Brazil tour was my favourite out of the two. Going over the Andes and seeing Iguazu Falls close up were just spectacular. So much to see in Buenos Aires and Rio as well. And as for the wine and beef....Having said that Costa Rica/Nicaragua was wonderful as well, so much wildlife especially in Tortuguero, just incredible!

Hope you get to do both tours, I really recommend them!

Best wishes,

Bob

Yes I know Jaya, it is a sad, sad situation. So much history there , Crusader forts, Carchamesh and Damascus would have been a great place to visit.

Hello All,

Great question Bob ( like the TM earlier). Did have a list of 50 places to see, kept adding to it, taking places off that I had visited.

Jerash in Jordan is the nearest that I will get to Syria. New Orleans 3 years after Katrina was an eye opener, now 9 years later I could not believe how it has changed for the better- some houses still have tidal marks high on the walls yet there are no doors with crosses on them or there are gaps where houses used to be.

I use my big birthdays to go to a place that I have always wanted to see-New Years Eve is a great time for parties,Paris, New York and Copacabana Beach 3 years ago. My 60th is supposed to be New Zealand, I have not found a trip yet which covers this. 2 years left to find it :(

Last year I had 5 holidays, went husky sledding as a driver tick, saw the Northern Lights tick, Visited Austria, Switzerland and Leichenstein, Scotland and Finland for the first time tick.

I still have to see Vietnam and Cambodia, would love to go to Shimla and the Taj Mahal,New Zealand but not Australia. Vancouver and Seattle with Puget Sound, Nova Scotia and Iceland. Have no wish to see South Africa or Machu Pichu. Would love to see Angel Falls and Zambezi Falls. Seen Niagara and Iquazu Falls- loved them.

Next year I have booked Flanders in May, Last Post at Menim Gate tick.
