I have just booked the Thailand trip for March 2013. This will be my first solo encounter and feeling quite anxious.... I will be flying from Manchester via domestic flight to Heathrow. Anybody else out there travelling my way ? !!!

Hi RLJ, There is really no need to be nervous!!! It took me two years to do my first solo holiday and was shaking in my boots. I went to Kenya with JY. It was brilliant and now I have the bug. I went to Peru/Amazon last march and am also going on the Thailand holiday in march. On both my last holidays everyone was really friendly and everyone mucked in together. All ages got along really well as for whatever reason we are all in the same boat. I will be travelling from south wales. Another person on this web site going to nThailand is called Debs so I am looking forward to meeting you both at heathrow. Keep in touch in the meantime!!

I am new to this site and have never travelled solo before. I was thinking about the holiday to Thailand in March next year too and would also be travelling from Manchester to Heathrow. I will let you know once I have booked it. It seems very daunting but the comments from the other people that have taken the plunge is very encouraging 🙂
