Hi,

Is anyone else booked for the S A Explorer trip on 13th Sept 2012?

I only booked today and never been with J Y before but really excited!

Look forward to hearing from you

Hi Julie,

I'm booked for 13 Sept incl the add-on and am staying on for a few days after that again to visit my sister who lives south of Durban. I have been to various places in Africa though not most of the ones on this itinerary which is so varied and should be fantastic. This is a 60th birthday present to myself and I'm really looking forward to it. There's just something about SA which keeps drawing me back (other than my sis!)

This will be my 4th JY hol and all have been great fun.

Hi,

I am also going to South Africa and can't wait. It sounds so exciting. I have been with JY before to China and it was very organised and was great.

Thanks Julie, Rosemary & Gaynor,

Have not come back to this site for a while, but thanks for the replies - are you going to get any jabs before S.A or just malaria tabs?

Cheers

Hi Julie,

I'll need yellow fever vac as doing the add-on. I had quite a few vacs including rabies for an SA trip in 2009 so hope I won't need any more now. At the time I filled in a Form from my GP to show my vac history and where I was going and went on GP advice.

Sept still seems so far away but I know it will be worth the wait.

Hi Gaynor,

Im going on the trip to South Africa on the 25th October, bit nervous as I have n't been on holiday alone before, but the feedback i have read on the forum sounds very positive. the biggest thrill will be with the elephants.

Anyone booking Robben Island? I don't know when to book this as I don't want to miss the other trips.

Hi Gaynor,

No, I'm not interested in Robbin Island. I intend to stick to the organised trips except maybe the helicopter rides. Olly would probably be your best bet to see when you could slot in Robbin Island,
