Hi Linnie,

I would suggest a place you have always wanted to visit and it depends what you like to do, i.e sightseeing/beach. And as it's your first trip, maybe a shorter break to get a feel for it.

It is daunting at any age to travel with a group, but if you have somewhere that you are really looking forward to visiting you have that to focus on.

As you say you only live once and at worst it's only a week or so out of your life!

Hi Linnie

For my first JY trip I opted for one of their European long weekends away. I figured that if I hated it and didn't meet anyone I could talk to then it would only be for 4 days and I could live with that. I had a fantastic time!!!!! I am pleased I did it that way because it gave me more confidence to book a longer trip the next time.

Good luck.

hi all i went on my first singles holiday last year i was really excited untill two days before i went i sat on the staffroom floor sobbing my heart up vowing i couldn't go my son even had to pack cos i wouldn't BUT i went and i loved it i would tell anyone go for it, it's really scarey, but do it. I went to Italy for 5days which was just long enough. Everyone on my trip was really friendly so my advice is go for it....... wheather i'll be so brave on 12th june when i go to Italy time will tell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi

I am going on my first singles holiday to Sorrento in May and it is comforting to read that I am not alone! Is anyone else going to Sorrento? I am flying from Stansted so am hoping to have some company in the airport and on the plane. Otherwise my nose will be buried in a good book!
