Hi I went to New Zealand in Feb, my age is 61, the age range was 32 to 80+ the 32 year old, was male, lovely guy, it was a good mix of people 36 in total 12 men 24 ladies,we had a great time,so much so,16 of us met up at a reunion in May and are doing it again in Nov.

I think it is a good idea to sit with different people each time you get on the coach, that way you get to met everyone and no one gets stuck with me !! also its nice for someone to let everyone know a meeting time to go out to eat, then its up to you to either stay alone or socialise

Hi Faye

I have just been on a Just You holiday.

Like you I was apprehensive thinking that everyone may be much younger than me.

Our group ranged from about I would guess 30 - 70 as one of the older ones I teamed up with one of the youngest and had a great time, everyone seemed to naturally split up into pairs or groups,

not by age but by interest. I was scared that i would be on my own, I need not have worried. jusy go and you will enjoy it.

Hi Everyone,

I've just booked my first JY holiday (literally just); I'm going to Thailand for Christmas and New Year.

I'm 36 and the age thing doesn't bother me in the slightest, I know quite a few older ladies and gents that are more 'spry' than me. ;o)

I'd love to hear from anyone that's been on this holiday or going this year.

Anita.

I am considering the "America's National Parks & Canyons", "New England & New York", "East Coastliner", or "Canadian Rockies & Vancouver" holidays, but I am incredibly shy, and at the age of 26, worry that there will be nobody remotely near my age. Although I'm not into clubbing etc, it would be nice if there was anyone around my age interested in any of these holidays. Is there anyone 35 or under interested in these holidays??

Hi Shyguyps

I am going to New England & New York in Sept and its my first justyou holiday. I'm 41. I am sure lots of people will be nervous & not something they've done before but I would suggest go for it, there are probably people of all ages going. Good luck with your decision!

Hi Shyguyps

I went on my first JY hol last year to China and it was fab. I'm 32 and the mix of ages ranged from me as the youngest up to 81. We all got along really well and age wasn't a problem at all. Everyone got along so well and we had a fantastic rep so please don't worry about being shy you'll have a whale of a time and everyone really does look out for everyone else. I'm off to America's Golden West in 5 weeks and can't wait. Hope you decide to book something don't hesitate just go for it. It was the best decision I ever made.

Thinking of the same sort of holidays in US/Canada in September. Under 35 and also concerned about the age range...hoping it will be a good mix. Has anyone got any good suggestions about which North American holiday would be best for a first timer?

age does not matter, I am 38 and went on my first holiday with just you last year to Thailand 2007, going to Prague, Vienna, Budapest and Poland this year 2008.

Can honestly say had a great time on the Thailand trip, the whole group were fantastic and great people, we all mixed well together. I was the youngest of the group and was well looked after by the rest of the group aged 38 - 80.

Age is not that important as we are all there to have a great time and make new friends.

It's disappeared off the site now so does that mean it's fully booked?

I am a recent 72 year old widow and am thinking of embarking on my first solo trip in order to try and make some new friends. I am interested to know if I do book whether there will be people in my age group. I was thinking of booking the discovery weekend as a first step.

I've just returned from the Wonder of China trip. At 28 I was concerned but looking at the age average decided I was up for it. I was the youngest by 18 years with the majority being over 55! However, it was one of the best holidays I've ever been on and everybody was a scream. Our group seemed to get on really well and there were 29 of us in total so there was a lot of different people to talk to. I would thoroughly recommend Just You and am looking at using them again next year.
