I agree with previous comments re pricing. However the recent trend seems to be for upgrades to be included in the group booking. On Malaysian Air and Air Canada flights last year I was unable to access my booking, although in both cases my seat requests had been honoured. One word of warning, if flying BA, have a close look at the BA business cabin layout if considering an upgrade. The cabin is very cramped, and unless paying the highest price, seats cannot be requested at booking. For a premium, £60 - £70 each way, seats can be precooked one month before departure, but not using a group PNR. Similary, online check-in is not possible, so you have to take whatever seat is available. From past experience, BA is the one airline where I would never upgrade to business. Comfort and service fall far short of competitors. Even the premium economy is inferior to other airlines.
