Good morning all,
I have just had my credit card company on the phone, and my card has been used fraudulently to the tune of £3746, which was used for travel and flights abroad. This is not the first time it has been used like this! On checking back my card statements, I am fairly sure it was at Terminal 5 Heathrow at one of the "shops within a shop" that my card was hacked - they said my first card wouldn't go through and asked for another card.
I know it is common sense, but always, always make sure that your card is in sight at all times - mine was, and I don't know how they did this. I was exchanging a watch which was damaged, and they put through a credit on my card as the replacement watch was cheaper. This happened back in January this year - on the way back from a JY holiday! Sometimes it can be a year before they use your card. Luckily I have a very good credit card company who monitor unusual activity.
Hopefully this won't happen to any of you, but just be extra vigilant, especially in busy airports!!
Cheers,
Hils
