How brave and what an adventure.. as the old saying goes the world is your oyster it really is. JY is a very safe way to travel as a single lady, I have been on 8 JY tours and had great fun and seen amazing sights so settle down and have a good look at what is on offer and then GO FOR IT ..BOOK IT AND HAVE FUN!!!

Hi there, I am now applying for my first passport at the age of 44......never been on a plane or even to an airport.... not sure what to do first when it comes through....I am embarking on a new life, will be travelling on my own so would love some advice. I love learning about other cultures, walking and such... so open to anything, but really scared of going on my own. :s

Just go for it. I was so scared on my first holiday (going on my 10th in 10 days) but cann't wait now for new brochures to drop through my letterbox. I hope you enjoy your first holiday as much as I enjoy all mine.

Don't be scared JY holidays are great, you will be really safe and have a good time I did my first year to the Cilento coat and it was fab - lovely holiday, lovely people - just go for it !!!

You have taken your first thrilling step into a whole new adventure.

I'm doing my first ever solo trip in November. I felt a bit sick when I actually clicked that "pay deposit" button but I don't regret it! There are so many repeat travellers on here who are so supportive and they can't all be wrong!

Enjoy the process of picking your dream destination and then book! I'm already planning next year and I haven't done one yet!

It's nice to know I am not on my own. I am thinking of joining one of the China trips in the Spring. I haven't flown for about 15 years, never been on holiday on my own before so, like you, I'm worried about the airport/currency/jabs (everything really!!!)

I think the only thing to do is to book and just go. After all it is only a couple of weeks out of your life. If you decide to go to China Do get in touch.
