Hi there

Thinking about booking my first trip. Thinking of doing the walking trip to the ahr valley in June this year. I would love to hear from anyone thinking of going or who has already been. From those of you who have already experienced traveling alone do you think this would be a good start? I'm quite a confident person and have travelled a fair amount with my daughters or friends but for some reason feel so scared about going away by myself. Lots of reassurance needed please. Thanks

Haven't done this holiday, but have done 10 JY holidays.

With JY, you're never "alone".

Women tend to outnumber men, age ranges have been earlier 20's to late 70's (mainly 40+).

(don't let this put you off) group sizes smallest I've been on is 13 and largest 40.

Pick a holiday that appeals to you, and you will have a fab time.

Can't comment on the particular holiday but i don't think you need to worry. JY do look after their customers and i don't think there is a bad one for newbies. All 5 holidays I've done with the company had a good mix of newbies and regulars.

Think the fact people keep returning for more holidays speaks for itself.
