Hello

I've decided to take the plunge and actually go on holiday on my own. I'm going to Kusadasi in October and am actually looking forward to it.

It'll be a bit daunting, but I'm sure I'll get used to it, there is a first time for everything isnt there?

So if anyone has any tips or bits of advice for me that would be great or is going to Kusadasi it would be great to hear from you

Thank you Julian.

I'm sure I will, the idea of getting away from it all for 7 whole days is just bliss.

Once I get off the plane and start meeting people I'll be fine its just that first bit.

So, have you done many JY trips?

Hi harpic

Everyone is usually very friendly and it doesn't take long for people to get to know each other. You seem a very sociable person so I'm sure you'll be fine.

Each year I usually go on a long-haul holiday with my wife and then we do our own thing for short breaks. Sometimes I'll fly off somewhere with a mate for a lads weekend, but as I'm a fan of European coach trips I usually try and go on at least one coach trip a year. I know coach trips aren't everyone's thing but I think they're terrific for short breaks in Europe. I've met some really interesting people and had some great fun on them.

I've been on coach trips with both Travelsphere (JY's sister company) and JY. I tend to stick to France, Belgium, Holland and Germany, although I am thinking of a trip to Luxembourg. On one trip with JY we started the return journey in Germany, went through Holland, Belgium and then France before getting the ferry back to England. 5 countries in a day - how cool was that!

I'm booked on the JY Walking in the Ahr Valley trip for 10th June. I did a similar trip with JY to this region in June '09 and had a real laugh so hopefully this trip will be as good.

I had a quick look at the holiday you've booked and it certainly looks a good trip. I love having a boat trip if I'm away so that would definitely be one of the excursions I'd choose although I'd probably do them all.....not sure about the aquapark though?

Cheers

Julian :)

Hi Julian

Sounds like you have a great time, I like coach trips too, I do a few one day ones a year, you just sit back and relax and let somebody else take the strain.

Ephesus is one excursion I'm def going to do, bit of a history nut so that is a def. I'm not sure about the aquapark either but I have been told that the market is amazing. I cant get the hang of batering tho, tried it before when I went to turkey and it was not for me, dont like the pushy salesmen it must be the reserved english woman in me but i just want to run away lol.

Well it sounds like I'm going to have fun which is good and a chance to meet some new people which is even better.

Hi Anne,

If you like UK coach trips I'm sure you'd enjoy the Euro ones.

Perhaps a large brandy before going to the market? :D

Enjoy Kusadasi, let me know how it goes.

Best wishes

Julian 🙂
