Hi

I've been looking at doing a JY holiday for some time now, joined the forum yesterday and thought that I had placed a post but didn't appear so must have done something wrong.

Haven't really decided where I want to go yet or indeed when but I would just like to understand the age demographic overall. I am a young 38 and just want to make sure that i will fit into the groups.

Any advise would be much appreciated.

Hi Sam

I am also a newbie and nervously considering my first trip. Your posts never appear immediately as they have to be checked first to ensure nothing offensive has been written I wondered the same thing when I joined!). Can't comment on age groups but this seems to be a popular subject on here. Anyway I'm mid-40s if it helps and looking to maybe do Alpine Europe or the Prague/Vienna/Budapest trip initially. Haven't built up enough courage to actually book either yet though!

Michael.

I have been doing JY tours for the last 4 years done 6 holiday's with 1 booked, you will be fine, you will be at the younger age range but don't let that stop you. I am 52.. There are many threads on here regarding this subject so have a look at what people have to say..

I feel age is just a number, if you like meeting new and interesting people you will be fine.

Hi Sam,

I've done 2 JY trips and the age range has been from late 20's to 70's on both trips among the ladies and 40's to 70's with the men. Ladies tend to outnumber men (11 to 7 on my first trip and 35 to 10 on my 2nd). I'll add the majority sem to be 50's and 60's.

Age doesn' seem important different ages seem to mix well as everyone is there for a god holiday.

Hi

I did my first JU trip last year-Wonders of China. There were 36 people in the group and ages ranged from early 30s to early 80s. The holiday was very enjoyable and good value for money. Group members were very friendly. I am sure you will enjoy any trip-just "bite the bullet" and book!!!

hi,

I've just booked my 3rd JY holiday to South Africa in July and i'm 36. My first trip was to China where i was the youngest by 1 or 2 years and then i went to Russia where i was the youngest by at least 10 years i think. But they were so much fun to be with and everyone was really nice. I had a lot of fun on both trips, regardless of ages, ratio to men and women etc and i highly recommend going for it, book a trip and you won't regret it!
