Hi Paula, As far as clothes goes you can wear what you like. the only time we had to cover up a bit was when we went into a mosque in mombassa. Yes you can wear a bikini on the beach, you do not sun bath on the beach though. Long dresses are ok because you will get biten alot from mossies. Although if you prefer not to thats ok as well. It is the rainy season when we go out in May so take a mac or umbrella, because when it rains it rains. Although saying that i was out in Kenya in May 2 years ago and did not see any rain, and i have been there in the sunny seasons and got very wet. So who knows what we will get. What part of the country are you from? ::)

Hello Paula, I live in a town called Totnes, it is in Devon. Its about 6 miles away from Torbay The English Riveria. Are you going to travel down on the day or the day before and stay in a hotel. I have not made my mind up yet. As if i travel on the day i have to leave about 6am, and it makes it a long day for me. Hope to hear from you again. If you want any more info please ask away. Julie x

Sorry i have not been in touch for so long, but we were told my dad might have cancer. So my world was turned upside down. Thankfully we were told 2 days ago that he did not have it. Well back to your question, yes you do need injections, yellow fever, is one that i had to pay for the others you shold be ablr to get free from your nurse. I got my passport back this morning, glad about that. only 5 1/2 weeks to go.Cant wait now, i am getting excited now. I have also now booked to go to Thailand in November. see you soon

Hi. I did this trip 2 years ago - you will have a fantastic time. Re clothes for safari - do not wear bright colours, black, blue or camouflage gear. Ideal clothing is khaki, olive, muted browns etc. You will also need a wide brimmed hat. Regarding footwear - trainers or trekking sandals were ideal.

Enjoy!
