Good Morning Everyone,

It is great to know that you are excited by the changes we have made to Just You in terms of our guarantees and promises.

A number of you have asked about the guaranteed loyalty benefits. To give you a few more details, the discount, which will be a minimum of £50 per person off your next booking, will be applied to the next holiday that you book, as long as it is within six months of returning from a Just You holiday.

To launch the loyalty benefit we are extending the offer to anyone who has booked a holiday in the last 12 months.

Unfortunately we are unable to backdate the loyalty benefit to anyone who has already booked a holiday, hopefully you will be able to make use of the benefit in the future.

Thanks again for all of your feedback, you really help us to shape the future of Just You. We hope you all enjoy the new look brochure and are as excited about the new holidays as much as we are.

Kindest Regards,

Amy

“Unfortunately we are unable to backdate the loyalty benefit to anyone who has already booked a holiday”

Surely these two comments contradict themselves!  Like many people I tend to have the next two or three holidays booked well in advance to avoid missing out, for example I have my holidays for 2018 booked already.  There is no value at all for me to get a voucher for £50 which I have to use within six months of returning.

Good Morning SallyC,

We did not want those of you that booked with us in the last 12 months to miss out, so you will soon be receiving an exclusive loyalty discount as a personal thank you that you will be able to use towards a Just You holiday travelling before July 2018. Whilst not everyone will be able to use this, we hope you receive it in the spirit it was given. As you know we are listening and have heard you loud and clear on loyalty which is why, for the first time, we have introduced this new benefit to thank you for your continued support.

Unfortunately we are unable to offer the discount retrospectively to bookings that have already been made before the launch of the Just You loyalty guarantee.

I hope that makes everything a little clearer.

Kindest Regards,

Amy

I remember the old days that we used to get a voucher from the Rep as we were leaving for £25 to £50 off if you booked within 6 months of the vouchers date depending on the cost of the holiday. I guess the last one was possibly 2011 when I went to Magnificent Lake Garda.

I have booked 2 trips since my return from Breathtaking New Zealand in November. The Douro cruise is 26th July and Oberammergau in June 2020.

Hi Amy.

I hope that there are many who would be able to benefit from this kind new offer.

I have had two JY holidays in the last 12 months. but unfortunately for me it looks I would be missing out on this offer as I had already pre-booked my two holidays for 2018 last year, well before the launch of the guarantee, and don't think I would be able to afford to squeeze in a third before July.

Oh well, maybe next time, i can get a loyalty bonus when I book a 2019 holiday. The early bird didn't get the worm in this case 😞

So loyalty only extends for a period of six months. Many of us have been loyal customers of JY for years, and racked up many bookings. Fourteen in my case, and I know some forum regulars will have way in excess of that.  I had hoped for a bonus reflecting the number of previous bookings.  Please pass this comment on to the instigators of the loyalty scheme.

He'd have to be a pretty clever bird to work out how to get the loyalty bonus anyway!

Hi Julia/James/ Amy.

Like others I am delighted that JY are offering a loyalty bonus and like others I already have my 2 holidays booked for this coming.year so I am expecting that this will be applicable to future bookings only.

You state the system will know that I am a returning customer as you keep a record of all previous purchases and I am just wondering if the bonus would apply should I book through a travel agent as opposed to directly with JY?

Reason I ask is that a) I have had problems linking my holidays on your systems in the past (there is a long thread somewhere on the forum) and b) I have one upcoming holiday that I directly booked on line (showing) and the much more expensive one for later in the year that I booked through an agent, who is a friend, to help them 'grow' their independent business( which isn't). If the customer in this case is actually the agent as opposed to myself then despite my loyalty to your brand I would be missing out on the bonus -correct ?

Regards

Trish

Good Afternoon trisho,

That is correct, the loyalty benefit will be applicable on your future bookings made within six months of returning from your Just You holiday. If your travel agent speaks to our call centre when making the booking I am sure they will be able to arrange for you to take advantage of the loyalty benefit as long as you are booking within the six months of returning from a Just You holiday.

Kind Regards,

Amy

Just thought, I booked Breathtaking New Zealand with the travel agent back last January when I had a problem with Voyages of Discovery crashing. I have also just reviewed my money and I have not received the deposit back from that.

Let me guess, I will not receive a loyalty for my Douro cruise from this 😠

Jan

ps I have not received any paperwork for Oberammergau yet or is it because there is still over 2 years to go?

I too have already booked 2 holidays for 2018 last year (2017)

I have been on a JY holiday in September & December 2017. I booked a holiday for 2019 a couple of weeks ago and did not get a loyalty discount.

I have passed on your comments to the relevant team at JYHQ.

I did add a post to this thread on Friday but hasn't appeared.

I'm a "loyal" customer of 15 years and 19 holidays already done.

I booked 2 holidays for this year in 2017.

With regards to booking a holiday with 6 months of returning from a holiday - I used JY in September & December 2017. I booked a holiday for next year (2019) a couple of weeks ago and did not received a discount!

The loyalty guarantee is a wonderful idea. Apologies for the questions...

However would it be possible to

a) get an idea speculatively of what the discount would be. I have already booked my 2018 holidays with JY - Treasures of Andalucia in May and Inspirational China and Hong Kong in October. But I have already an beady eye on the Spirit of India tour for one of my 2019 holidays and if it's running maybe Northern Cyprus (relax).

b) how does the system know i'm a returning customer? (I prefer to book online)

c) is there a time limit on this guarantee?

Thanks

Chris

Good Afternoon Chris,

The discount and time limit on this guarantee will depend entirely on the choice of tour and the date which you choose for future bookings.

The system will know that you are a returning customer, even if you have booked online, as we keep a customer record of all our customers' previous purchases - so all you'll need to do is call and book.

I hope this helps.

Kindest Regards,

Amy

I have booked my trip to Moscow and St Petersburg in August 2018 online, having returned from Peru in October 2017.  I have not received any discount. Is this because I booked online?

Hi All

I find this loyalty scheme totally confusing and fear I might be missing out on it somewhere as the words are as clear as mud! I've travelled with JY for 8 years now with 24+ holidays and probably won't get anything for that!

Shame on you JY....

Good Afternoon Anna,

Unfortunately, we hadn't launched our Welcome Home loyalty discount before you returned from your trip in December, and as such were not eligible to receive a discount.

The good news, is that on your upcoming trips, you will receive a voucher when you return.

Kindest regards,

Amy

Good Afternoon Melanie,

Unfortunately a discount isn't applied to your holiday as it falls outside the validity period. But you will receive a Welcome Home discount when you return from your Russia trip.

Good Afternoon Sylvia,

If you have booked your next holiday and travel before the 31st July 2018 then you will receive a discount voucher.

Unfortunately you will only be able to receive the Welcome Home discount when you return from your holiday.

I believe that a confirmation invoice was sent to you by email on the 7th January at 17:35 for Oberammergau.

Hi Rose

The voucher that you received from Just You was sent out as a personal thank you to everyone who had booked with us in the last 12 months. To use this voucher the holiday needs to be booked in 2018 and depart before 31st July 2018. The voucher is separate from the Guaranteed Loyalty Benefit that was launched with the latest Just You brochure in early January.

To make use of the Guaranteed Loyalty Benefit you need to book your next Just You holiday within six months of returning from a Just You holiday and the next holiday needs to depart within 12 months of the return date of the previous Just You holiday.

Kindest regards

Amy

Hello Amy,

I’ve been following this thread with great interest, and in your last reply to Rose1999 you state that a voucher (separate from the Guaranteed Loyalty Benefit) was sent out to everyone who booked with JY in the past 12months.

Well, I’ve not received a ‘thank you’ voucher, despite having booked with you in the past 12 months, although I have received the Guaranteed Loyalty Benefit voucher that was launched with your latest brochure.

It would seem that JY have 2 separate loyalty schemes running side by side, each with its own set of qualifying rules. It’s little wonder that people are confused!

A slightly befuddled Mike!
