Avocet - when you say you are looking to book for Sep/Oct - are you talking about this year or next?

Hello Will

Sorry, I was talking about this year, 2014.

Kind regards

Avocet

Just so you know, any new tours will be for 2015 onwards. Hope that helps with your decision making!

Yes, thanks Will that has been a help, I can now start putting some plans in actions.

So no new tours for this year then Will?

Only checking because my holiday plans for end of September early October have fallen through so I will probably be going away on another JY Europe trip later on this year. I think I am going to hang on for a while and see what some of the early reviews come out like.

I really fancy Lisbon Coast but the one review we had up wasn't that clever. So I might turn either to Costa de la Luz (hoping for some late sunshine) or Sardinia if I can get time off in September.

I also had the Lisbon trip on my wishlist but agree the review we have had so far didn't impress. Fortunately there are plenty of trips in Europe that I haven't done that get good reports so I may do the Costa de la Luz too, or maybe Calabria or Apulia. Wish more people would post reports. On the trips I have done, Andalucía and Cilento coast, I asked everyone I could about the trips they have done and what they thought of them. Still hoping to reschedule the US trip to Parks and LBH (was all set last year before the national parks were closed and the trip cancelled) and would also love to do the Vietnam trip.

That's right, everything for 2014 is out already. The new holidays will be for 2015 only.

We have had a number of departures on the Lisbon holiday since that very first one. We made a number of changes based on the feedback we received.

Thank Julia,

Yes, I saw that in an earlier post. Guess I will have to be a bit more patient and hope that it either arrives, or is available as a download.

Sylvia

I would love to see a tour to Korea or to Borneo. I am slowly making trips around Asia, since watching the Hairy Bikers Asian adventure it's made me want to see Korea. I have been to Japan with just you, and China last yr.

looking forward to seeing the new brochure

Must be going mad - I read that as 12 March. Well, the first two letters are the same.

Hi Elaine,

Welcome to the community!

All posts are moderated on the forum to try and prevent our members being exposed to spam messages and to also make sure that we capture all of the questions that come in so that we are able to answer them so there is usually a delay between posting a message and it appearing on the forum. The post will appear on the forum or thread that you posted the original question or reply in (although we can move them if needed).

If you click on the User CP link at the top of the page you will be able to see your post count - if you click on this you will be able to see all of the posts you have made that have been published - click on any of those to be taken to view the full thread. If you only want to see new posts since you last logged in, if you click on "view new posts" under the welcome message, you will only see the messages that have been posted since you last logged in.

In terms of a brochure, I can have you added to our mailing list, if you email me your full name and address to jmorton@justyou.co.uk, I can get this arranged for you.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Some excellent new holidays. Now decision time. I like to go away in February and am thinking about Namibia or Kerrala.

Will these holidays still be in next years brochure? I can only do 1 long haul a year and don't want to pick one and find the other is not available next year.

I was really excited by the Land of the Dragon itinerary, with the chance to add-on Tibet. Then I saw flights were with eastern China airlines. Never heard of them, so looked at review sites. The comments are not good especially on long haul flights. I was on the inspirational china tour last year and would love see more of such a fascinating country. We flew air china then, with some internal flights on another airline. I had upgraded to business, which was ok, but below the standard of other airlines. My fellow travellers in economy were much less happy with their flights. A couple of hours internal flight with a lower end operator is one thing, but ten or eleven hours long haul is quite another. I know cost is a factor, but could you not offer the option of flying the long haul sections with your BA partener?

Hi Pat, that's a good question - I really want to do Namibia but might not be able to do it next year. I suppose JY have no other option but to say "wait and see" - if the tours prove popular they'll be back and if they don't, they won't!!

Hope you make the right choice and all goes well for you. Vietnam and Cambodia seems like a long time ago now!

Take care,

Bob

Hi SarahS,

Sorry for the delay in coming back to you, I wanted to get some information from our aviation team.

On this particular trip, we are using China Eastern for a number of reasons, one of course being able to offer a cost effective tour to our customers, but another is for us to keep all Chinese flights within our remit which we are unable to do if we were to use a non-Chinese international carrier such as BA.

We have used (and still use) China Eastern on a number of our Travelsphere tours and our customer service questionnaire responses give us confidence in using this airline with our Just You customers.

I'm sure you've seen a few posts on the Just You Community about online reviews in relation to hotels, and to some degree the same applies to airlines too. While general online reviews aren't great, this airline have improved their quality over the past few years and have good customer satisfaction scores that are not only above Air China but also many of the 'renowned' airlines.

Kindest regards,

Julia
