Hi Yvonne,

I have flown with American Airlines before but never to Chicago - but having said that I have never been on a long haul flight that didn't include at least one or, if the length of the flight requires it, two meals - usually one full meal, then a "breakfast" box or else two full meals, so I'm sure you will be fine.

Cheers,

 Bob

Hi Yvonne

I've had a look at the American Airlines website which says:-

'We serve complimentary meals in the Main Cabin on flights to and from Europe, Asia and select flights to Latin America that depart within traditional breakfast, lunch and dinner meal windows.'

I hope you have a brilliant trip.

I did this trip in 2014 and the meals were included on the plane. Food was pretty standard - think there was a choice of 3 mains (1 veggie option which I think was pasta) and usual bread roll, bit of salad, glass of wine etc. I can't remember if it was American that do ice cream sundaes for dessert too but I remember it as being ok. And the trip itself is excellent!
