Hi everyone.

This will be my first time travelling alone. Anyone else as nervous as me?

My aim is to visit capital cities throughout the world, plus a few other destinations.

Is anyone else travelling to a capital city in June this year? My thoughts are with going to Prague. I have looked on here but the only Prague city visit is in Sept/Oct, so I may have to reconsider my destination.

Hi Carrie,

Like you I enjoy visiting different cities and a few years back decide travel is something I want to do and have travelled solo (and with others) to a few different cities. Last year after losing my partner decided I would like the company of others on some trips so discovered JY, didn't regret it. Did two JY holidays last year and have two booked this year but may also do a couple of new cities on my own at some stage.

I like your ambition of visiting capital cities but would say don't keep it just to capitals or you will miss some of the worlds great cities (New York, Barcelona, Chicago, Sydney, etc).

Have some great trips

Mick.

Thanks Tim. Have a lovely time. If my first holiday goes OK I will look to going to Canada next year, especially Niagara Falls.

Hi,

Thanks for this. It sounds very encouraging. I haven't rules out other destinations, and Barcelona is one I particularly want to go to, but after a life-changing moment, I promised myself I would visit one capital city a year. I plan to have 2 holidays each year and my second holiday will be to other places. Enjoy yours.

Hi Cindy,

It looks like I will have to go with another company too as JY isn't doing a trip to Prague in June.

Can you recommend a hotel? Do any of them have pools? I want to be close to the square.

This was a mini break as far as I know there was not a pool. I stayed at the K.K.Hotel in Praque, this is situated in the old town and is ideal for walking to all the places of interest. I was on Bed and Breakfast which was good, the hotel was clean and tidy if a little basic, but it was fine, I wanted to be near all the action, so compromised on the GRAND hotel this time. I think I used lastminute.com flew from LHR then got a cab to hotel and then from then on walked for miles was very interesting.

Hi Carrie

Have you seen the Prague/Budapest/Vienna holiday? I'm new to this and despite being mid 40s quite nervous about booking my first trip! However I love visiting the major cities and this one offers three in one go so quite interested in this one myself!

Barcelona's a great city to visit by the way, so much to see and do.

Michael.

I have just joined approximately 30 minutes ago, so be gentle with me please.

I am going to China in April, this is my first time using JY, I have gone on cruises alone but never a single's holiday before. I have quickly checked this forum for a few ideas. But as you can see I am running out of time only a couple of months before I set off on my travels.

Have you any suggestions? anything to lighten the load?, and I do not mean not being packed into my suit case.:D

Margaret H
