In view of my impending visit to northern Namibia in May I got my prescription for the recommended branded 'Malarone' tablets by GlaxoSmithKline. However my local independent village pharmacist suggested I consider the generic equivalent. These turned out to be substantially cheaper than even the cheapest 'Malarone' available on line. The cost was only £20 for 12 tablets. If anyone is interested the generic name is:- Atovaquone/Proguanil Hydrochloride.
