Hi Di,

I'm delighted that you enjoyed this trip so much - it's one I have my eye on although there have been very few reviews of it to date so it was great to read such a detailed and well written review!

All the best,

Bob

Is Bob finally considering European tours??? :)

Hi Dina

Thanks for an interesting review.

I know little about this region of Italy and has definitely peaked my interest. One of the things that made Cilento Coast was that it was relatively untouched by tourists which added to it's charm, and it seems like Apulia also shares this.

Hi Mark

Thank you for your comments.

I have never been to the Cilento Coast and know nothing about it. A future trip for me perhaps...

Whilst we were in Apulia a Travelsphere group was in the same hotel part of the time. Their TM told me that they were going to Castel del Monte and then staying in Trani. Trani apparently is beautiful and Castel del Monte interesting.

Kind regards

Hi Dina

Cilento is a fantastic holiday. I wrote a review which ill find and post for you if you want however the resident expert on Cilento is Bosuncat who has been twice she was zoo enamoured by it. Defo one worth considering!

Thank you so much, Di, for that great review. I am seriously thinking about this holiday for next year as everyone who has been there seems to love it. It is also good to know that the area is still not overrun by hordes of tourists. As others have said, the Cilento coast holiday is in a quieter area and, apart from the day at Amalfi and Ravello, the visits were very relaxing. I didn't go on that excursion as I prefer places like the quaint, hilltop village of Castellebate which is only a short bus ride away from the hotel. I went there on my own one morning and wandered about for ages without meeting anyone, apart from a few residents.

Enjoy wherever you are going next.

Hi Mark and Rae

Thank you both for your comments.

I have just read the new review of the Cilento trip. Mark, I had an idea that Bosuncat liked Cilento. Bosuncat and I met on the Slovenia holiday a few years ago.

Rae, my next trip is the Roof of the World in September which I am looking forward to but with a little trepidation after hearing and reading about the first of these trips.

Happy travelling to you both

kind regards
