Hello. I have never travelled on my own before and am really keen to book up to do the Iceland trip in November. Just wondered if anyone has done this trip before and how you found it, and also is there anyone else planning on going in November. Many thanks Jackie  🙂

Hello there,

I went to Iceland with JY last March.  It's a fascinating country, very different from anywhere else.  The weather was unseasonably warm so not much snow and unfortunately despite looking we didn't get to see the Northern Lights ( you're not guaranteed to see them as they are very much down to weather conditions).  However I think everyone enjoyed the trip, in particular the time spent in the Blue Lagoon was absolutely wonderful.  The hotel was good if a little way from the centre of Rejkavic (apologies for spelling) but if you are a good walker it only takes about 20 minutes to get there. The food was ok, like anywhere some places were better than others. It's a very expensive country but the tour is quite short so it wasn't too much of a problem. I came home with some lovely photos. Have a great time.

Thank you for your reply, I think it looks like such a fantastic place to visit and this seems like a good way to do a little bit of everything. ☺
