Hi

I'm new here and thinking of booking the Inspirational China trip next September for my first holiday on my own since my husband passed away last November.

I also fancied the Classic Cities of Italy one... but China looks so interesting!

Part of me is excited that I'm considering doing it, and part of me is scared of taking the plunge! I never thought I'd have to consider travelling on my own and I'm nervous that I'll feel alone.. especially going in to meals on my own!

After reading the posts on here I'm closer to booking something than I was!

Cheers, Di

Hi Di,

Trust me when I say that traveling with a group like Just You will not be like traveling on your own. Once you have got over the hurdle of meeting everyone for the first time at the airport or destination, it will be like traveling with a group of old friends. You will meet some great people who like you, want to travel the world in a safe and friendly environment. You will never have to go to any of the meals on your own unless you want to. So go for it you will be amazed at how much fun you will have.

As to which trip you should take, well that's a difficult part. I can tell you that China is truly an amazing place to visit and you will be blown away by all that you see. As for the Classic Cities of Italy, I'm hoping that it to will be equally amazing as I am booked to do this trip myself in September!!

Good luck

Well I have booked the Classic Cities of Italy, 11th September 2014!

I thought I'd book it rather than dither and change my mind!

If anyone else has booked for this date, or thinking about it, please get in touch.

Feeling nervous and excited.....

Take care

Di 🙂

I'm going to Canada and New England in the Fall on 2nd October from Manchester - really looking forward to it but a bit nervous about then getting straight onto a flight to Boston from Newark - have never had to get straight onto another flight before - has anyone done this trip and is this change easy? Thanks,

Morning All!

This is my first time posting on this forum (but I'm a long-time browser of the website- looking at my dream holidays!).

I love travelling but my friends aren't in a position financially to accompany me on holidays and my family don't have the same tastes as me. I love history, art, museums, cathedrals.... Now I find myself having to holiday alone if I really want to see a specific country.

This doesn't really phase me but I was wondering what the avergae age of travellers on a 'Just You' holiday is? I am a 27 year old female but I get on well with all age groups. It would just be nice to encounter someone close to my own age on a trip!

I'm thinking of booking Classic Cities of Italy for next Spring and the Moscow & St. Petersburg trip for next October.

Thank you in advance for you help!

Hi Vicky

I started doing these holidays when I was 31 for the very same reason. Ten years on I'm still enjoying them. At 27 you will definitely be one of the youngest, but the other travellers will be 'young at heart'! If you phone the reservations team they can tell you the ages of people booked on a particular trip so you can make sure there are others nearer your age going before you book. I hope you decide to book, it is such a great way to travel and we always have such a good laugh.

Hello all,

Extremely nervous first timer here - just booked for Croatia's Istrian Coast in May 2014. Hopefully I will have got the gist of this website before then and may meet some of my fellow travellers online before the big day!

Hello Vicky and welcome...

If you look around there are threads on here regarding age range... At 27 you would be in the younger age range but please do not let put you of, these are great tours you see so much, I have been on 9 tours but not the ones your interested in I have been on the Tuscany highlights which was really good, the main age group I would say is 55-70 with younger and older either side. I am now 54 and have been using JY since 2006..I have had great fun along the way and seen some amazing sights, people do mix in really well young or old...

So if you see a tour you like then book it and have fun. If there is anything else I can help you with just ask.

Hello Maureen

I am sure that as time goes by you will link up with people who are on this tour. Just remember not everyone is on this website, but many people are. I have not been on this tour but I have travelled on many tours so if I can help with anything just ask.

Mark,

Given some of the feedback that has been received about the community, I'm thinking of adding in a couple of new forums perhaps one for people who have just returned for the first time might be a suitable one?

Kindest,

Julia

Well that includes me, then! Just back from Croatian's Istrian Coast and it was my first Just You holiday. I enjoyed it so much, felt so comfortable, relaxed and secure that I've been on the JY website ever since to plan my next holiday for early 2014.

Hi All,

I have just returned from my first Just you holiday in France. It was fabulous! I was very nervous as I didn't know what to expect. We were so looked after. The tour guide (Lyn) was brilliant, she really made the holiday for us. I made lots of new friends. The hotel was exceptional. Luckily the weather was on our side and it was beautiful. This was my dream holiday to Monet's Garden and I was not disappointed!

Anyway if your thinking of taking the plunge, think no more, just book!

:)

Glad you enjoyed the trip I have it lined up for next year and it leaves on my birthday too! I've just signed up to Community and it's been a few years since I last went with Just You and now I have 2 trips lined up for next year.

Home from my first but not my last trip with Just You (Sorrento). Why did I worry!!!! From the airport check in to getting home it was made very easy by the efficient staff of Just You.

Met some great people and visited some fantastic places.

Already looking at the brochure for next year and will be booking soon.

Hi, does Just You ever reply when you send them an email? I've done that twice requesting for information and it's rather putting me off wanting to book a holiday with them.

Can anyone comment on their Christmas at Apuglia holiday? How was the hotel? It seems to be permanently kitted out for weddings, which makes me nervous. What's the weather like in December? Other holidays at Christmas you would recommend?

I used to travel with Travel Editions (excellent and they ALWAYS reply to your emails) but I've run out of holidays with them.

Thank you!
