I am going to South Africa in February.

After reading reports from people that have already made this trip-the only problem seems to be paying for the optional excursions, of which I should like to do making the most of the holiday.

Is it not possible for the trips to be paid for up front in this country- making it easier for both the passengers and the tour guide. It would be far more convenient and safer for everyone one concerned.

Perhaps someone could look into this problem-as it really does seem to be an unnecessary one.

Living with hope-that this problem can be resolved.

Regards Margaret.

PS How many are on this tour and do you know who the tour guide will be?

Hi Lotty

As you say, optional excursions on this tour can only be paid for in cash. On quite a few of our tours, you can pay in advance or by credit card but there are exceptions and South African Explorer is one of them. We are aware that some people would prefer not to pay by cash and we are looking into making it possible to pay for excursions in other ways. Your final information letter, sent around two weeks before you fly, will confirm payment methods for this trip.

The tour manager will be Suzanne Brown and so far 18 people have booked.

Kind regards,
