Hi, I am going to Thailand in November and when I visited my local Health Centre they said Thailand is low risk for malaria, so I wasn't going to bother with anti-malaria tablets. Since then I have read a thread on here where someone is advising malaria tablets, so I am a bit confused, any advice please? June G

Hi June

I would always follow the advice of your health centre or GP, as they are the experts and know your medical history.

Kind regards,

Hi June,

I went to Thailand for a couple of weeks last year (not with JY though) and didn't take anti-malaria tablets. I was advised it depends where in the country you are going but that for most of the country you don't need any tablets. I'd go with whatever you were told at the health centre.

I don't remember being bothered much by mossies in Thailand but I'd recommend taking some tropical strength anti-mossie spray just in case.

Have a good trip.

Julian

Thanks a lot Julian, that's very reassuring, I've got my deet spray so hopefully that will ward off the little pests. June

Hi June G, I have had the same advice so let's hope it's right. I'm going on the 3rd November tour. You too? It's my first solo venture as a widow so I am quite nervous.Paddyj

Hi Paddy, yes I'm going on November 3rd, there's no need to be nervous, I've been on several Just You holidays and enjoyed them all. Everyone is very friendly and the holidays are very well organised, see you there, June.
