Just looking for reasurance really! I booked originally for the keny trip in June 2010 which was cancelled. I am now thinking of opting for the one in September. It is my first time travelling alone and has taken me two and a half years to pluck up the courage!! I am very excited but also very nervous. Could you tell me how many people on average go on this holiday and what sort of age group they cover? do you know if anyone else on this holiday is going on their first trip on their own?

I'm very pleased to hear you have taken the plunge. I know it can be a little nerve-wracking but I'm sure you won't look back after your first time away with us.

Our Kenya trip typically has 30 people on the main tour, with 15 of them also taking the Mombasa beach extension. The age range could be anything from early 20s to late 80s, though you'll probably find that the majority of your fellow travellers are in their late 40s to late 60s.

I'm afraid I don't have any information on who the first-time travellers are but hopefully some of them will see this message and get in touch with you. You might also like to try posting a message on another section of this site - 'Get to know your fellow passengers before you travel'.

Hello there, if this is the safari trip I am doing this tour in Sept 2010, I am 50, and have travelled many times before with JY. I am doing this tour with a lady I met on an Poland tour a few years ago and we have travelled to Austrian Lakes as well, all with JY. We are also doing the add on as well, we are really looking forward to this trip. I hope you book it.
