Hi can anyone let me know if a back pack is best or a suitcase. Considering on the India tour we are in and out of hotels throughout the trip.

Hi

I have done both tours to India and used a suitcase on both occasions. Not sure that I could get enough clothes, toiletries, shoes etc in a back pack!

I would definitely suggest a suitcase, a hard shell one if you have it.  I would be concerned that a backpack might not survive various flights and all the coach trips!  I've done the Spirit of India, it is a great tour and you will see and do so much!

Enjoy...

Each to his own but I have a North Face duffel bag. Virtually bomb proof and it having travelled the world for over ten years. The beauty is you can put it on your back for ease of negotiating the escalators on the underground or just carry it like a case. Compresses to keep contents tidy. Would not go back to a suitcase.
