Hi all

I am now on this trip having transferred from the Masarka trip when the Manchester departure was cancelled for that one. Flying from Manchester and looking forward to meeting you all 'on the other side'.

Do pluck up the courage Ann. It would be lovely to meet you.

Hi Elaine, the Bosnian Convertible Mark is a closed currency so you can get it in Mostar if you need to change any but as far as I remember in Sarajevo it was quite easy to use euro. We did travel through six countries in two weeks, so my memory is a bit confused!

Best wishes,

Bob

Thanks Bob.

By closed currency I presume that you can only get it in Bosnia? I do also have some Euros on me left over from France/Belgium so it is useful to know that you could use Euros in Sarajevo. I would presume it would be the same in Mostar.

Hi Jonah.

I very nearly booked for Makarska but the East Midlands departure on this one made it a done deal for me. Looking forward to meeting you.

Hi

I usually choose long haul holidays but a family wedding and birthday celebrations mean I can't go on my chosen holiday this year. I am seriously considering this holiday but am not sure about the weather in early May. Can anyone advise? Will be travelling from Edinburgh if I join you in Dubrovnik!

I haven't been as far south as this, Lesley, so I can't really advise. I have been further north in Croatia several times in May and the weather has been good (very hot when I went to Makarska!). It's just the luck of the draw I guess.

Hope you decide to join us.

Hi Anne

I will make a decision soon regarding this holiday. Would be happy to meet up with you at Edinburgh Airport if this makes things easier for you. If it helps I almost turned back from my first holiday with JY-China in 2010 but so glad I didn't. I met a lot of friendly and interesting people and I have been travelling every year since.

Hi Bosuncat,

I have a response regarding your questions!

- There are ATMs in nearby Cavtat. When it comes to bank cards in Croatia, Maestro as well as Visa and major credit cards should work.

- The trip to Montenegro is full day included excursion - there will also be some free time in Montenegro for lunch and shopping.

- For the Mostar, you should book this just to get to see Bosnia and Herzegovina! For Bosnia, Euros will be ok but if you would prefer, you can use kuna or Euro to change it locally to Marka if needed with the help of the TM.

I hope this helps.

Kindest regards,

Monty

Many thanks Monty.

I have never had any problems in Croatia changing money on debit cards or the newer cash passport card. Only in Italy. :)

And I really SHOULD go to Mostar I know. I was due to go to Dubrovnik and also Mostar in 1992. But of course awful things happened and consequently I never got there. That is why I am so excited that JY have this as a brand new holiday. It's great too that the extra regional departures have been added.

For my interest, Monty, how many are flying from East Midlands please?

I am not an expert, but I suspect the opportunity to fly from different parts of the UK has made this holiday enticing for a lot of folk. Added to the fact that Croatia is a lovely country to visit.

I live in Nottingham, only half an hour from East Midlands Airport. Avoiding the trek to Heathrow and Gatwick is a major bonus, so I will seriously consider this trip for later this year or next.

Hi Bosuncat,

There are two people on the flight from East Midlands, so you'll have some company on your journey.

Kindest regards,

Monty

I live just north of Nottingham Richard, and it has been a major consideration for me.
