HI Bosuncat,

I am so glad to see that you have taken advantage of the departure from East Midlands! I do hope that you have found some "lodging" for your "babies".

Kindest regards,

Monty

Hi Bosuncat,

Glad to see there will be at least two of us on this holiday. I usually do long-haul holidays, but this holiday over a bank holiday weekend was just too good an opportunity to miss. Look forward to meeting you in May.

Hi Kezzer.

I asked when I booked and they told me 4 already so I am presuming I was the 5th. I presume you are flying from Gatwick?

Ooooooohhh, I might be joining you on this one too, just noticed it flies direct from Newcastle! Think that's sealed the deal for me.

Thanks to JY for adding another holiday with a good choice of regional departures, I look forward to seeing more of them in the future, it makes a huge difference, especially for European destinations.

All excited now!!

Xx

Woohoo so that makes 6 of us... and its still early days:)

Yes I will be flying from Gatwick which I much prefer, as although Heathrow is nearer to me, Gatwick is cheaper to park at.

I prefer Gatwick as an airport to Heathrow but it takes forever to get to and from on National Express for me, particulary if the M25 is acting up. As Magpie has said it's great that we are getting a better choice of regional flights. I still have to taxi to East Midlands as I don't drive, but it is about half a hour away from home in a taxi.

Magpie. I hope you do book. It would be great to meet you at long last. 🙂 You too Kezzer. 🙂

Hi,

Thanks, I'm really looking forward to this now. I'm going to keep an eye on the numbers booked and try booking early January if I can.

To the moderator - could you please tell me how many places are available on this tour, and how many have booked so far? Thanks.

Xx

Hi magpie10,

The capacity for this tour is 35 people. There are 30 places still available on this departure, which means that 5 people have booked.

Kindest regards,

Monty

Hi Monty.

I hope you had a good Christmas and New Year break.

How are numbers looking on this departure now please? And has anyone else booked to fly from East Midlands yet?

Thanks.

Thanks Monty.

Numbers are looking up. That's great.

Good also to know that I won't be alone on the flight. 🙂

Just a few questions about currency if I may, Monty.

I have some kuna left over from the Istrian trip last September, and intend taking a multi purpose cash passport card. Would it be possible to find out if there is an ATM in the hotel or would the nearest one be in the village?

I know that Montenegro uses Euros. Is the trip there a full day excursion please, leaving us time to purchase lunch and free time for any shopping?

As far as the trip to Mostar is concerned I am not 100% sure that I want to do it yet. Does the country accept Euros or Kuna do you know? Or would it be better to obtain a supply of Bosnian Marka before I go just in case I do decide to do the trip?

Hi Bosuncat,

I have just passed these questions over to the overseas team who will get in contact with our agent in hope they will give you some detailed information.

There will of course be an ATM, but we do always advise taking more than one means of payment with you (cash, debit card, credit card). Also, make sure you have enough money to cover emergencies and any unexpected delays.

Kindest regards,

Monty

Never done a solo holiday yet. This sounds good, if I could only take the plunge:( Will try very hard to pluck up the courage and keep watching this thread meantime, thanks to all for their input

Hi Elaine, the Bosnian Convertible Mark is a closed currency so you can get it in Mostar if you need to change any but as far as I remember in Sarajevo it was quite easy to use euro. We did travel through six countries in two weeks, so my memory is a bit confused!

Best wishes,

Bob
