Hello. I am booked to go on the Spirit of India trip this October. Does anyone know whether we need to take Malaria tablets? It seems all destinations are in low risk areas but Rathembore and Varansi are places where chemists don't seem to know either way. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Angie,

I did this tour in November last year, a few weeks before, I went to the travel clinic - some vaccinations were recommended but I was told that for this part of India malaria tablets are not needed. Have a great time, it's a brilliant tour.

Hi

I did this trip in October 2012. I did not need malaria tablets but would recommend that you take a lot of hand gel and insect spray! I also took a plug-in insect repellent which was very effective especially in Rathambore! This is a great tour and I am sure you will have an amazing time.

Hi Angie

I did this trip at the same time last year and didn't need malaria tablets at all, on the advice of my GP I should add. I was well during the holiday apart from a brief tummy thing.

have a great time, you will love it I hope, I certainly did !!
