Hi Bob,

I really do enjoy it - I look forward to logging in to the community each day to see what's happening. I'm hoping that when the new editor is in situ I can start earning my own "posting freak" credits.

Well Julia, I'm hoping whoever takes over that they are as efficient as you are! You couldn't be persuaded to take the job over permanently? Or have you got more exciting duties at JY that you can't wait to get back to??

Yours in curiosity,

Bob

I'll train the new editor to be almost as efficient as I try to be.

I could always be persuaded to look after the community on a permanent basis, I really do enjoy it, but sadly it isn't part of my role. Hopefully I'll be able to step in when the new editor takes annual leave.

On a bright(?) note - I'll be answering questions and queries here in the community until the end of the month at least.

Kindest regards,

Julia

I'm glad to hear that we won't lose you completely when the new editor takes over. The previous editors have been great but you manage to add an extra something to bring a personal touch which is lovely.

Hi Sally,

Thank you for your kind words, I think it's safe to say that whilst I won't be here on a day-to-day basis, wild horses couldn't keep me away from popping by the community when I get a chance! I might force the new editor to take a day off every once in awhile so I can get on the forum.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hi Julia, I'm glad to hear that we won't be losing you altogether. You're doing a fantastic job - prompt, friendly and, above all, very accurate and helpful information. Hope your successor is up to stratch or we'll have our work cut out breaking them in!!

Cheers,

Bob

We all do appreciate the time and effort that you all put into answering the posts we put on here, and how you engage in the jovial banter that has been out on the boards..

Any idea what total is the next to aim for!!!! ...or is Freak the highest accolade !!

Cindy

PS glad all is going well Jaya.....

Hi Cindy,

"Posting Freak" is the highest accolade but as several people are fast approaching this title, and you've already reached it, I think I may see if I can add in another level. We'll have to put our heads together and come up with a new title.

Hi Julia

Who knows, if I keep on going at the rate I am doing at the moment (have a bit more time on my hands as I am working from home and my kind bosses are making sure they do not give me too much work!!) I may achieve the title before Cindy comes back from her Florida holiday! I love reading all the posts on Just You Forum. You gain so much information as well as being able to engage in jovial banter with fellow forum members. I am also overwhelmed by how kind people are to me whilst I am going through a bit of a 'bad' patch. Just You Forum is definitely a Community.

Regards

Jaya

Sylvia - as the first official entry "freaked out" will be considered! I did think about whether or not we should consider something along the lines of "Emperor of all things Just You", but wondered if it was a bit too much?

Jaya - I'm reckoning by the middle of next week (if not sooner) you will officially be a "posting freak". I also think it's wonderful how the community interacts with each other - sharing experiences, hints and tips, those nervous feelings of travelling for the first time, banter and of course, all the messages of support for each other.

Kindest regards,

Julia

Hmmm, not sure about Freaked Out (although Cindy might agree that it applies to her, I couldn't possibly say). And seeing as she will undoubtedly be the first to achieve this new status, she would have to be the Empress not Emperor! It does sound a bit imperial perhaps. Not that I can come up with any better title, mind you. How about JY Guru??

Cheers,

Bob

According to my old dictionary

Freak means abnormal person,animal,thing........there are some people in my life who might actually agree that those word fit me with that comment and I hope there are others that would not...

Empress see emperor means ruler of an empire....and that empire is JY???

Champion means one that excels all others, defender of a cause is that JY

Traveller means the act of travelling I will while I can

Explorer means investigate, seek, scrutinise, OHHH I definatley do these

Any of them float your boat?

Or just as I said Yummy Mummy LOL.

Hmmm, this thread has lost the plot a bit! I wonder has Paul, who started it been back to read it since? I do hope that anyone who goes on a JY hol has a great time - and the same is true about anything in life: the more you put into something, the more you get out of it! I am sure, after doing 5 JY hols, that anyone who makes the effort to socialise and chat to others will have a great time on any JY hol. Naturally there are some people you will get on with better than others, but on every JY hol I've been on there have always been a good number of people I've clicked with.

Cheers,

Bob

Hello Worried, Don't be-- every one is travelling alone for whatever reason. I'm married but wifey dosen't want to go-- China-- Peru-- Vietnam/Cambodia, just back from that one.

Yes some coach and air journeys but you see a hell of a lot of the country. Chill out at the good Hotels, sit with different people daily,

Everyone finds a like minded person to team up with.

And you'll be surprised at the stamina of the slighty older folk

Tour Reps are Good Go for it!!!

No evidence re Hazel`s "nice trip" in Castellebate then, and the TLC from Rob! Or Bee`s "Strictly" debut!
