I have been undecided between India, Kenya and South Africa but have now made my mind up to go to Kenya next September. My elderly mother is very ill and so it all depends how she will be next year and whether I would be happy to leave her, as she has nobody else. So I am planning to book up at the last minute, if there are spaces left, as I would think the Kenya trip would get full up quickly. This is something I have always wanted to do, so fingers crossed!

So where are you planning to travel next year?

I'm thinking Albi & Carcassone either in May or June(if anyone has been on this trip which is better weather wise?, it would be nice to have a bit of warm weather).

And then the new Florida trip for November.

This will be my first holiday as a single traveller, so I have made it short to see how I get on. I am going to Portugal for 8 days in April. Holiday Info Pack due soon, can't wait to get my hands on it now. Nervous one day and excited the next. Go for what you fancy. You'll find no end of extremely helpful information on these community pages. I know I have.

This will be my second trip, the first in 2012 with to Kenya, the safari part was great but not so keen on the second half. Would like a full time on safari in another country. This year 2013 I have booked Canadian Rockies and I feel a lot more confident this time around.

I have booked June and wondered if anyone else is going especially if they live near Southampton. No one has mentioned it but I am sure it will be popular, please let me know. Thanks

Just read your comments about Kenya. I'm probably going on this trip in September but am in two minds about the "add on" at the end. Seems you weren't too keen on it, can you tell me a bit more as it might help to make up my mind. Is it just a case of lazing around a pool or are there other things to do and places to go etc.?

when I went on the Kenya tour I loved the add on but I did in fact just lazed around the pool. There is a local rep think its from womak?? They look after you and I am sure there are things you could do...

I did go to a local children's aids orphanage they are very welcome to visitors, I did go with a couple of ladies and shared the cost of a taxi and he waited for us....DO NOT go off on your own.. Take taxis and share the cost. Also there are health treatments at 2nd hotel I had a manicure and an Indian head massage at half the price you would pay here. All that stayed on just had a relaxing time soaking up the sun..

Hi. I recently booked America's Golden West for May and the Classic Cities of Italy for September.

The California + Vegas holiday will mark three years since I did this tour with JY before. San Francisco is one of the most amazing cities I have ever visited, although my time there was cut short due to a late departure from the UK caused by the return of a certain volcanic ash cloud from Iceland... So, I'm really looking forward to the extra time there, afforded by the revised itinerary!

September will see my first ever visit to Italy. Looking forward to comparing Venice to the Venitian in Las Vegas!

i have just booked my first holiday with JY for the golden west in the USA on 13th May so if it goes pear shaped they at least speak the same language (still very nervous about my first trip)

I'm also seriously considering doing the Istanbul, Troy & Ephesus tour on 10th November - just need to get the time off from work and save some pennies up.

I'm really looking forward to my holidays :)
