Hi Will

I'm new to JY and have not long booked my first holiday with you. Only a european one to start off with, but if things go ok i have a few long haul i intend to do.

I really like the look of the National parks, Canyons & Little Big Horn trip and was also very interested in doing the Canadian Rockies one until i saw you have dropped the Alaska cruise add on! Was there any particular reason why it was removed and do you think there is any possibility of it being put back on? Also a Mexico tour would be good if your job covers down to there?

Apart from that the choices you offer are pretty good, just please don't drop the Little Big Horn trip anytime soon as my holidays for next year are pretty much sorted. 2013 is the earliest i will be able to do it!!

Cheers

Paul

Hi Will,

Thanks for posting on Community. It's nice to be asked for ideas of what holidays we would like to see. I have the National Parks, Canyons and Little Bighorn booked for May next year and I am really looking forward to it. I am also planning to do the West Coast tour, hopefully the following year.

Reading through the various replies to your post, there are a few suggestions that interest me. The Florida Keys, Miami, etc would be great. I would also love to see Graceland and Nashville. I bet Oregon would be a great place to visit too. Went to Hawaii six years ago and would love to go back there - the people are so friendly.

It would be nice to see a few more American tours in the brochure.

Hi Elaine,

Great to see you are going to the parks - I must say I love to hear people's feedback on that tour - you just see so much!

I hadn't considered Florida too much yet - it's certainly an interesting place with lots of different attractions.

I think you will really enjoy the West coast as well - some of my favourite places in the world!

Hi Will,

I would love to do a two centre holiday starting in Memphis & Nashville and going on the VIP tour of Graceland and then on to Las Vegas.

This year I did the Golden West trip and it was brilliant. It was my first ever holiday on my own and it was just so well organised that it will not be my last with Just You! However I would have loved to have spent more time in Vegas as there is just so much to see.

I have seen a similar holiday to the one I have mentioned with another company but this is not for singles so don't fancy going on that.

However if it was put on by Just You I would be the first in the queue to book it!!!

Best wishes.

A few years ago JY did run a tour to Memphis and Nashville which I went on I thought the tour was very good. It was only in the brochure for 1 year due to lack of interest I think. Maybe if enough people get behind it they might re run it.

Hi Will,

America is a place I really enjoy going to, did the Canyonsd, Parks and Little Big Horn 3 years ago, but have also been to LA, NY and Florida over the years, I put a post in another thread about American Civil War Battlefield Tours, would that be possible? Also there doesn't seem to be a tour to Washington.

Could I also ask, why has the Canyons, Parks and Big Horn trip been turned around?

2 Trips on my to do list are Route 66 (in 2013, hurry up and publish the dates please) and Texas and New Orleans

Regards

Martin

Think Martin as a good suggestion with the Civil War battlefields, it would certainly be one I would consider.

Hi Martin,

it is all quite dependent on the airline seats as to which direction we operate the tours in. With Rapid City being a very limited service airport we sometimes have to make amendments to the tour in order to continue to offer the tour. In 2013 I think we will be going north to south again

Civil War tours would be very interesting. Also, I went on holiday to Washington this year and absolutely loved it. fascinating place!

Hello everyone,

my name is Will and I am the 'Product Manager' for Just You's North America holidays. Basically I have to decide which tours we operate and then research tours to make sure that you all have a great time once you book and want to keep coming back to us.

I have read this forum for a little while without actually posting myself, I don't want to step on Olly's toes after all! You probably noticed that I set up the Route 66 holiday after seeing all of your great posts on here about it.

So why am I posting? Well, simply because I love feedback from our guests. I wanted to know where all of you would be interested in travelling to in North America next?

Does the Rocky Mountaineer interest you?

Have you always fancied Graceland and New Orleans?

How about lesser known places like Oregon and Northern California?

You tell me what your dream North America holiday is!

Looking forward to hearing from you all

Will

Hi Will

I have not yet done a JY holiday yet but I have booked for Route 66 in May. Im sure I will enjoy that trip so Im already thinking of my next trip and if Graceland and New Orleans is there, well I will be there too. Hope that helps

I would love to do the Rocky Mountain tour with visits to Vancouver, Banff, Lake Louise etc. I've only ever been to Florida and New York in the US although I'm off to Vegas this year( with family, not JY) but would love to visit Canada. Maybe next year 😉

Hi Wil

I am new to Just You, there fore looking to do the Canada and New England tour, ideally I would have liked to spend extra nights in New York. Originally I was looking to see if you a twin center stay for New York and Las Vegas with an internal flight from New York to Las Vegas or vice versa. Would this be something that you would consider in the immediate future.

thanks

Hi Will,

I was looking at the dark clouds tonight on my way home and thought what would be a good holiday in America:

Storm Chasing in the American Mid West, I have always been fascinated by Twisters

I know its probably not do able, but you can hope.

Are we any closer to a Civil War Battlefield Tour Holiday?

Regards,

Martin

Hi Will,

I have done three tours to the US wih JY - two to the Parks and Canyons, (the first one had a ranch add-on which was a wonderful experience - 5 nights on a ranch just outside Tucson). Unfortunately the ranch wasn't repeated. I also went on the Coastal California and Mexican Cruise which was also fabulous - but not repeated. I aslo did The Golden West with Travelsphere. I'm going on the Texas/New Orleans trip in September.

As someone commented earlier, it would be nice to have a twin centre holiday and spend longer in one place- say 5 nights in San Francisco and 5 nights in Santa Monica. There must be loads of trips from these places but be based in one hotel.

However, I'm looking forward to my day on the ranch in Texas!!

Hi Will,

I see there are still no dates for USA trips for 2013 up yet, will the National Parks & Canyons LBH tour be on offer for Sept 2013, or alternatively Canada/New England as I'd really like to do one of them then?

Best wishes,

Bob

Hi Wil

I really, really, really want to do the Parks and Canyons tour, trouble is I'm hopeless on coaches, suffer from vertigo (bends, not heights).

I'd love it if you could do this tour withe the same timescale, but less travelling - perhaps Grand Canyon/ Bryce Canyon/ Las Vegas, with longer time at each?

I'd also be interested in New Orleans.

Totally agree with you Martin on the Civil War Battlefield holiday. I've been lucky enough to go to Gettysburg but there are so many more I would love to do.

Hi Will,

Could you consider add on's to your North American holidays to include Hawaii or even better as a destination for JY?

I have looked at many travel companies and can only find cruises that have Hawaii as options foradd ons.

Hi Will,

About 12 years ago we stayed in a place called Laughlin about 70 miles south of Las Vegas. We flew to LA, spent the first and last nights there and 10 nights in Laughlin. From there we visited Vegas, Grand Canyon, Sedona, Oatman, Lake Havasu City (London Bridge) and several sails on the Colorado river. It was like a mini Las Vegas. I'ts probably expanded by now but I'd love to go back So much to do and see

Regards, Pat.

Hi Eric,

Hawaii is definitely somewhere we will be considering for Just You in the future, although we won't have it for the 2013 brochures we may well come up with something for future years

Thanks
