Hi,

I live in Co. Galway and booked few weeks ago "Christmas in Edinburgh". I have been eyeing up some holidays for next year and I´m just waiting for the new brochure to come out first. I would be then using the Belfast airport.

It´s nice to see that there are at least few of us here in this side of the bond.

What brochure??

Hi Betty

You can request a brochure or view one online by clicking here:

Hi Olly,

You should know by now that people from Ireland can't request brochures (or book holidays) online as we don't have postcodes which are mandatory fields on the online form!!! We can view them from the website however.

All the best,

Bob

Hi Bob

My understanding is that Northern Ireland uses UK postcodes, which should work on our brochure request forms. Please accept my apologies if this is not the case.

As you say, viewing online is another option.

Kind regards,

Yes Olly Northern Ireland does use postcodes, but the Republic of Ireland doesn't! Both my posts and Betty's mention that we live in Galway and Wexford respectively!! We have to use Belfast City airport, rather than Dublin, so that if anything goes wrong JY will sort it out for us - as they won't book connecting flights from Dublin for us. Those living in the UK don't know how fortunate they are for being able to book straightforward holidays!!

Cheers,

Bob

Hello Christine

I know of one holiday that flies direct from Belfast that goes to Andalucia. I know this is right because I am meeting up with the lady at the hotel in Mijas in Spain. She is flying with Aer Lingus. There may be other holidays where you can fly direct from Belfast.

My friend only found out when she tried to book it through the office. It is not mentioned on the website. I do not know why, maybe a lack of space.

Anyway, have a nice time wherever you choose to go.

Best wishes

Peter

Hi Bob

Betty doesn't say that she is from Galway (her post includes an earlier one by 'Ebs') so I assumed she was responding to the thread title - 'Northern Ireland'.

I am aware that customers in the Republic have issues with using postcodes on our online forms. As always, I am happy to pass on any requests to our brochure team.

Kind regards,

Hi Olly,

my apologies, it was indeed Ebs not Betty who said she was from Galway (the quick reply box layout can be confusing to read - that's my excuse!). But still it doesn't invalidate my point. By the way, people from the Republic usually refer to themselves as coming from "Ireland" while those from Northern Ireland usually use their full title (unless they are trying to make some politcal point!). It can be a sensitive subject and one which most people in the UK are oblivious to. Anyhow, I wish JY would book connecting flights from Dublin for us, it would make my holiday plans a lot more straightforward.

All the best,

Bob
