Was thinking what holidays I'd like to see added to the many options JY already offer us single travellers.

Maybe if a few of us come up with a few good ideas people at JY will take note and possibly look into adding some of them.

For me I'm a big fan of travelling to America and I've come up with 3 holidays I'd love to do.

1. Route 66 - Always been an ambition of mine to do this and as JY's sister company do it reckon its a real possibility to add.

2. Music Capitals of the Deep South - This was in last years brochure, but as dissapeared, just my luck as I was intending to do it.

3. Route 61 - Ok this is a total new idea I believe but this route follows the Mississippi river from New Orleans to Chicago basically visiting all the great "Blues" music cities (New Orleans, Memphis, St Louis & Chicago) plus you could add places like Baton Rouge and also Clarksdale (birthplace of the Blues). Ok I'm a fan of Blues music and I'll add Chicago is my favorite city in the US.

Ok thats my suggestions, anyone else ?

Mick...

I take it your a music fan ....I did the USA tour Nashville (Grand Ole Opry etc) and Memphis (where else but Graceland) which was a great tour....

To be honest with all the holidays on offer, I personaly can't think of a new one, My dream was Australia which I have done and today I have book New Zealand for 2012..

I have heard others mention Route 66 so I hope you get that holiday ..

In Europe.

Slovenia. It would be brilliant for a walking based holiday. Beautiful mountains and lakes and so close to the Austrian and Italian borders for trips. Lake Bled would be a great base, or further into the mountains, Kransjska Gora. I could personally recommend some hotels there,

Milan. Excellent city base. It's so easy to get around there on public transport, and SO much to see in the city.

U.S.A

The Great Lakes are so beautiful. Don't see many trips around that area. Detroit is such an underrated city, and the Upper Peninsular of Michigan has magnificent scenery. There is a brilliant Holiday Inn at Waterford that would make a good base, and it is close to Detroit Metro Airport which has a direct flight each day from Heathrow.

I don't know how much into American History people here would be but it would be nice to see some Civil War History featured. Gettysburg is amazing, and close enough to D.C to make it worthwhile for a couple of days off shoot of a tour.

Hi Mick,

Good idea

I would like to see:

Some more short break walking trips in Europe. Keep the Ahr Valley trip but add one or two more to different places.

A long weekend (Fri to Mon) coach trip to Paris.

Julian 🙂

Im a Blues fan like Mick so I would love the route 61 idea. I was going to do the other music tour this year but it was dropped. I would also like to see an add on to Tibet with the China tour.

Route 66 would be my choice and I would be the first to book. After that everything else I would do is catered for. Lets start a 'We want Route 66' petition.

Sorry, but your destinations do not appeal to me!

My wish list is a very diverse choice: Hawaii, the Channel Islands, Fiji (not as part of NZ add on) and Tasmania, to name but a few. :)

European (or further afield) City Breaks - the new brochure is a good start but I have been to most of those cities! Hope it is popular then JY will hopefully expand the offerings - how about Berlin, Rome, Barcelona, Scandinavian cities, and London or Edinburgh for those of use who live a long way away from them??

Hi

I've not yet been to New York and although JY do a holiday that includes New York ("Best of New England & New York"), you are only there for 3 days.

With so much to do in one of the world's top 5 cities, I'd like to see a 7 nights (or more) holiday available.

Hi,

I would like to see more shorter city breaks in Europe. I like to do one main long haul or a longer european holiday a year. I would love to go away more than this but money and work limit me to only being a able to do shorter breaks in addition to my main holiday and a short city break would meet this.

Krakow would be one I would book. the new tour uses coach travel to poland so time is taken up travelling to and from the city. would love to see this as a short break flying locally. I want a lot don't I.

Rome and Barcelona would also be a good choice.

I have aspirations to travel to Malaysia and onto Borneo,

Jenny

Like RosieMo, Scandanavia. Also city breaks in Madrid, Lisbon, Dresden and Copenhagen. No-one else seems to offer a long tour to Belgium and The Netherlands (Brussels, Bruges, Antwerp, Ghent, Delft, Amsterdam etc). And a singles only Talinn, Riga and Vilnius option would be nice.

Hi Mick,

Man after my own heart!

ROUTE66 - YES, YES, YES. I have always wanted to do this - while it's still there. I know you should do it on a Harley but a JY coach would do and I have mentioned this to Olly before.

I know Travelsphere ( JY sister company) do it and it is also available with a rival travel company (who do fly this one from Birmingham) but of course they are mainly designed for couples although they allow singles with a single supplement. It would be great if Route 66 was available to JY travellers. I for one would be there 'with my boots blacked'. So if you are serious about a petition - count me in!

Hawaii has always been another destination I fancied - usually this can be an Add-On and makes a trip to the US longer. So again I would be interested in this too.

Tasmania would be interesting - I have friends there - so again I would be interested in this one.

We never know what is round the corner and what Life will throw at us - so come on Just You - make a few more of our dreams come true!

Be happy,

Lesley :angel

PS: There is you, Steve and myself keen - we can't all be wrong!

As a nervous newbie considering his first trip I'd ideally like to have done a short break of 4-5 days initially, but have been surprised at the lack of ones on offer (excluding the discovery weekends). I like the idea of more short European city breaks mentioned by others (i.e. Berlin, Milan - as a further suggestion what about Gothenburg/Stockholm?) as well as New York.

I would like to see more city breaks - Paris, Rome, Copenhagen and Athens. A trip to Vienna for Christmas would be great too.

I'd love to see Niagara Falls but am put off the short break to Toronto by the fact that it's only three nights. I remember seeing a multi-city tour in Canada taking in Toronto/Niagara Falls, Ottawa, Quebec and Montreal in a brochure a few years back but this tour has gone from the brochure.

Hi

I went to Berlin with Just You for 4 days in November 2007.Sadly they not done this trip since and I so much would love to go back there! Maybe 5 or 6 days as I felt 4 was too short.

Would love if Just You did 5 to 6 day trips to Hong Kong as well.

Hi,

I have done the trip to East coast of Canada that James is talking about - with my late husband - and Yes it is brilliant. Just You offer the West coast of Canada and also the Rocky Mountaineer (another trip of a lifetime) but it seems not the East coast. So that would be another good option.

Be happy,

Lesley
