Hey Big Spender! (Always wanted to say that). Seriously, that's more than enough.  Comparison used worldwide to estimate spending is price of a Big Mac meal, which is around 10 dollars.  Travellite.

I try to allow $75-$100 per day, tend to buy tee shirts and travel DVDs,but, expect to have some dollars left over as in the words of Arnie,"I'll be back" so any excess goes to the next trip.

It really depends on the type of meals you want,if you are in a city, there will be quite a range of restaurants, from inexpensive to very expensive. If you are in a smaller town,or,place there may not be much choice.Bear in mind that US portions are usually large,do not be afraid to ask for a doggie bag,if you can only manage part of the meal, particularly sandwiches.

Hello

I returned from the USA last week, I allowed $50 dollars per day but it was more than enough and I came back with a bit to spare.  The meals varied in price greatly depending on what one wanted to eat; in some cases a meal cost only about $10 but on two occasions I splashed out and spent $50.  On a few occasions lunch had to bought in a Walmart store as we were on the coach travelling between destinations and I guess the average spent there was about $10 for a salad or sandwich with crisps and a drink.  I also bought a few souvenirs.

Hope this helps.  Have a great time.  The scenery was fantastic, better than I hoped!
