The hotel is clean and comfortable - it is on a busy street so could be a bit noisy for some, however, the lovely rooftop terrace and Jacuzzi more than made up for this.  The staff are all friendly and helpful.  If you have any special diet requirements, vegetarian, vegan etc it's best to alert the staff on arrival, even if you've flagged it up on your booking form.  There is a lovely deli  shop within about 5 minutes walk from the hotel and a super ice cream parlour.  All the excursions are within fairly easy reach, so no overly long coach journeys.  The winding roads and scenery are splendid.  I enjoyed all the excursions, but mainly booked this trip for the ruins of Pompeii, Herculaneum and the walk up Vesuvius and I wasn't  disappointed.
