Just a thought for Ann or anyone else concerned about the regimentation.
I wrote about the wonderful location with the stunning beach. But, I forgot (don't know how I could have) about the Enebrales. The hotel is literally joined onto this. You experience the lovely scent of the pine wafting over you as you sunbathe in the hotel gardens..
It is a beautiful area of natural conservation through the sand dunes and the entrance is approx 200m from the hotel. So...... if the regimentation does all become a little too much, less than a 5 minute walk and you can be in this beautiful area of quiet and contemplation. Smooth well constructed boardwalks with sturdy handrails make it an easy walk, And the real bonus is that approx every 200m the boardwalks offer a bridge to the beach to walk back to the hotel whenever you fancy. And that beach is spectacular! When the waves aren't too choppy I'd highly recommend venturing in for a swim, bit cool til you get 'in & over' but worth it.
So for anyone thinking the regimentation may be putting them off, I'd suggest Punta Umbria as the best place I know for having an antidote right on your doorstep.
I re-iterate, although I won't be returning with JY, I would still recommend it and most certainly highly recommend this hotel, not forgetting it is well worth paying the extra for the lovely view from the front facing balcony.
I wish Very Happy Holidays to all those who go in future
