Hi, i understand that you cannot take any currency to India, is that correct, is it easier to change cash or card when there? Grateful for advice.

Hi Jitaly,

Yes that's correct, you can't take currency into or out of India.

The easiest option for you would be to take a debit card and take currency out when you arrive.

Many thanks,

Vickie

Hi

You can also take Sterling with you and change it there. When I did the Kerala trip, the local Guide had arranged for someone to come to the hotel with lots of Rupees and we all were able to change what we needed. The exchange rate too was good!
