Hi there
Hope you can clear something up for me. On my documentation from Just You, under the heading "Special Holiday Information", it states "On arrival in Cuba you need to present a copy of your medical insurance and this must cover medical evacuation... Clients who take our insurance will be covered for the above."
My travel insurance with the Post Office covers me for travelling costs to repatriate me.
I have phoned the Just You office who advised me to contact Holiday Extras who arrange Just You's travel insurance. The girl at Holiday Extras searched through their policy wording and there is no mention of the word "evacuation" in their policy. Holiday Extras do however cover to repatriate a policy holder.
Am I missing something or is this an error? In the context of the information sent to me by Just You, does evacuation mean repatriation? No one seems to be able to give me a definitive answer. Could you advise me as I don't want to arrive in Cuba and find out I am not covered.
Many thanks, Julia H
