Hi Olly,

Please could you confirm whether or not there is a currency restriction of a maximum of 5000 rand taken into South Africa?

Also I have been told by a friend via a friend in Zambia that they are expecting very bad floods in Zambia in March - I am going on the South African trip departing 16th Feb and am doing the Zambian add on 3rd-6th March.

Regards

Hilary

Hi Hilary

That is correct - you may only take 5000 rand into the country.

As for those possible floods you mention, we do keep a careful eye on all our destinations, so if anything happens that will affect your holiday we will be in touch with you straight away.

Kind regards,

Hi Emma

You will need South African rand for most purchases you make in South Africa but if you want to take some Sterling too, you will have opportunities to change it into rand while you are away.

Kind regards
